@seekjustice @rochellaine @alia I’m so sorry, I should’ve explained that I had just come to answers Rochellaine’s question last night; I wasn’t writing at the time. Sorry!
I’ll be on today at some point though.

June 6, 2018 at 5:04 pm #73965People of Kingdom Pen, I have a confession to make. I have just realized that I have led you to believe something false. I don’t understand quite how it happened, but I am glad I found it out and am able to rectify my mistake…
Now before I freak you out any more, 😛 don’t worry. It’s just that I just realized I have actually killed a character! One character, dying a very natural death by heart attack. But I have killed a character, and felt the intense need to let you all know. 😀 I can’t believe I forgot about him!!! Wow, I don’t know what happened, but I completely forgot that I had killed him. It might have something to do with the fact that he had absolutely no character development and no one was really sad when he died or anything? Anyway, now you know. I, the one person you all probably thought would never kill a character, have actually written the death of a character in one of my own stories. 😮
*braces self for barrage of horrified comments* 😛 😛

TRAITOR!!!
That poor man! I’m sure he didn’t deserve it. How could you be so cruel?
All right, I’ll forgive you this time.
😛
(I actually laughed so hard when I read your post. Silently, of course, so I don’t wake up my siblings :D)

June 6, 2018 at 5:14 pm #73967@seekjustice *hangs head* I-I’m sorry!! I honestly don’t know how it was possible that I forgot about him. But…he needed to die, and I think letting him die was the nicest thing I could have done for him. If he had lived he would have been the subject of great persecution, according to my understanding of the situation. And, he was in his eighties, so, I mean, really! He would have died eventually.
Oh, this is awful. 😛
(Ah, turn and turn about. But isn’t it fun to laugh suppressed laughter? I find it so, at least. 😉 )

June 6, 2018 at 5:17 pm #73968Well, Jonas and Rain and Waif and that-other-guy-who’s-name-I-won’t-mention-because-Alia-might-be-reading-this all would have died too, eventually. This does not excuse you.
(Its sort of painful though, especially when its really cold and you already have a cough)

June 6, 2018 at 5:28 pm #73969@rochellaine *gapes* Alright, it’s okay. I’m glad you told us. But your young heroes will die one day to, so you shouldn’t talk about old people like they are of less value. (This was probably not your intended meaning, but it could come across that way.)
"In a mask, was he?"
June 6, 2018 at 5:31 pm #73970@seekjustice Oh, yes. I see that was a useless argument. But you see, I’m desperate. I’m so ashamed of myself for killing a character that I can’t think straight enough to find any good arguments.
If only it had been a good death scene, with an important character who caused great mourning when he died, and who the readers would weep over – like the characters in your books – then I wouldn’t have to be ashamed, and I might be a little proud of myself for getting up the courage to do it. But as it is, he was necessary to the beginning and end of the story, but other than that only showed up a few times in the book and had absolutely no character development. His death was necessary to resolve the plot, but no one really minded much when he died.
Ah, what a horrible writer I was with regards to his character.
Oh well. I still haven’t had any deaths of really important characters. So have I lost my reputation entirely?
Oh, are you still sick? I’m sorry! There’s a cold running around my family too, and I hope I don’t get it. Especially with finals around the corner. 😉 I hope you feel better soon!

June 6, 2018 at 5:39 pm #73971No, you haven’t lost your reputation entirely, in fact, it seems like your character could be labelled “subplot” instead of character, so we’ll let it slide. Just pretend it never happened 🙂
(By the way, believe this or not, there are actually good authors in the world who don’t kill their characters. Like….well, er…you know…Well, these authors usually aren’t in the genres I read….)
I’m not really sick, but I have asthma and having a cold always gives me really bad asthma episodes, plus cold (as in the weather, this time) is a major trigger for me and its winter here, so…not fun. Stay in bed with computer and editing *nods wisely*
(I just saw a post on Pinterest saying: 2am is made for the writers, the painters, poets, overthinkers, etc… But the first thing I thought of when I saw it was: 2am is for Rochellaine to discuss Victorian fashion, musicals and debate with SeekJustice.)

June 6, 2018 at 5:45 pm #73972@ariel-ashira Sorry, bad choice of words. Thanks for correcting me on that. It was meant to be a joke, of course, and mean something completely different than the way you read it, but I can see how it could be taken in a wrong way. Of course elderly people are just as important as younger people.

June 6, 2018 at 5:48 pm #73973@seekjustice Oh, thank you. 😛 Yes, the first author that came to the top of my head was Jane Austen, but I know you detest her works, so that’s not a very good recommendation of an author who doesn’t kill characters, is it? 😀
I see. I have mild asthma too, and used to cough for months after getting a cold. I took a spoonful of raw honey every night for about a year, and I don’t cough badly anymore. But I remember how awful it was. Sorry. 🙁
Hahahaha!! That is exactly it. 😛
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
June 6, 2018 at 5:55 pm #73974That would explain why I detest her so much though. Not enough death.
Sometimes I wonder if my brain was wired the wrong way.
Yeah, its pretty horrible. I have a preventer but its pretty nasty in winter, particularly because we don’t have much in the way of heating in our house. It means we’re always breathing frozen air.

June 6, 2018 at 6:04 pm #73975@seekjustice Haha, like I told you before, I’m quite timid of meeting you in real life. 😮 You really have a sabre from Babylon, right?
Ariel, if you’re reading this, please realize I’m joking. I’m not afraid of SeekJustice at all, and we’re just having fun. There, does that help?
SeekJustice, I’m going to depart now for a while. I’ll probably be back tonight, though, and if you do post anything in between I might respond to it, depending on when I have time. 🙂 Talk to you later! (2:00 a.m., right? 😛 )

June 6, 2018 at 6:08 pm #73976Here’s my guilty secret that I have yet to reveal to you all…sabres do not come from Babylon so far as I know….and….worst of all. I do not have one. I do have the origami crane army, so you don’t need to worry about that.
Farewell until the wee hours of the morning!
INFP Queen of the Kingdom commander of an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.
June 6, 2018 at 6:09 pm #73977@rochellaine I can’t act like it never happened, but personally you have just as much standing as you did before in my mind.
i knew you were joking this time. 😉
Poor you and @seekjustice ! I’m afraid I understand the asthma/coughing/allergies thing way to well!
