And…a random announcement because I just want people who go through and read all these posts to know…
I don’t like Zac because of his “bad boy” character traits. I despised him when I started to read the book, and thought he was an annoying and horrible person. I like him because he got better and changed, and at the end of the book is no longer bad, but becomes a Christian and does the right thing.
Just so we’re clear here. 😉 😛
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
June 5, 2018 at 10:16 pm #73895@rochellaine I know what you mean, if that helps any. I think of the term bad boy almost like the word naughty though, not as strong as you are using it.
"In a mask, was he?"
June 5, 2018 at 10:16 pm #73896@ariel-ashira Oh wow! Let us know how the meeting goes! 😀
@seekjustice That collage….my heart aches for him…Really nice, girl! 😉
Yeah my definition of ‘bad boy’ is what Rochellaine said.

www.jennaterese.comJune 5, 2018 at 10:19 pm #73897Maybe, I don’t know. 😛
Well, I guess Dorian Grey started off as a bad boy and ended up as a villain. Byronic Hero is the “technical” term, seeing as Lord Byron wrote a lot of them.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyJune 5, 2018 at 10:32 pm #73899@alia Hi!
"In a mask, was he?"
June 5, 2018 at 10:33 pm #73900June 5, 2018 at 10:33 pm #73901@ariel-ashira Yes, I think the term can be used as a sort of endearment, but I don’t think I was too harsh in my assessment. SeekJustice rather was. 😛 Since “bad” has been getting worse in modern society, what’s considered just a normal, cute and rule-bending guy, by non-Christians I would consider to be a pretty awful person, probably. Like I said earlier, not a gangster, but more of a rebel type.
@jenwriter17 Hello! How are you doing?
@seekjustice I’ve read a few places that Heathcliff is the “archetype” for anti-heroes. I think he’s basically the same as the Byronic hero types. But I don’t generally like 1800s heroes and haven’t actually read Wuthering Heights or any of Byron’s stuff. 😉
@alia No spoilers. 😛 Just don’t read up on the last page and you should be fine. If I want to talk about Zac I’ll…I’ll just…oh no, I don’t know what I’ll do. But I’ll try to keep from saying anything! 😉"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
June 5, 2018 at 10:41 pm #73902@rochellaine, I only just started @seekjustice ‘s sequel tonight (grand total of 2 paragraphs in) so I haven’t met Zac yet and don’t want a preconceived idea. But I have to agree with you on what you said about bad boys. Society has romanticized the idea of being bad because that makes you cool. Kinda reminds me of the Studio C video Bad Boy Rap

Kapeefer til we're old and greyJune 5, 2018 at 10:45 pm #73903Well, I don’t usually like bad boys, so I don’t write them very much, but they’re coming more and more popular in contemporary fiction. I’m a solid believer in the good men, who aren’t boring. Hopefully. (Quiiiilllloon).

If a cottage was supposed to be a hideout, what would it look like? (in the woods)
