June 5, 2018 at 8:58 pm #73882@seekjustice Oh the torture! 😛 We had guests in the house this morning when you posted at 8:00 and I couldn’t respond to ask you what you were talking about. When they left, a little before noon, I knew you would be asleep, so I was going to wait until about 4:00 (my time) which is when you usually seem to wake up, but then this evening I realized we had a family party and had to be out of the house for a while, so I’ve been waiting all day to find out what you say you “made.”
Please relieve me of my misery!! 😀

June 5, 2018 at 9:02 pm #73883I was wondering what had happened to you 😀
I’ll relieve you. Hopefully you’ll like it…

June 5, 2018 at 9:11 pm #73885@seekjustice Oh my goodness. OH my GOODNESS!!! *sobs* oh, wow.
I nearly cried, seriously, but couldn’t because I was also smiling. 😉 I love all the quotes. Zac looks a little different than I pictured him, but I can live with that. 😛
Oh, wow. *sniffs*

June 5, 2018 at 9:15 pm #73888Ah, I thought you’d like it *hands you a tissue*.
I’m curious as to how you pictured him now. That guy has always been “Zac” for me 😀

June 5, 2018 at 9:29 pm #73889@seekjustice I pictured him darker and with shorter hair. Zac doesn’t seem a long, smooth hair guy to me, but a guy who would have short, slightly combed and slightly awry hair. Maybe a younger version of Robbie Amell?
Also, I guess maybe the pictures you picked would be a little how I’d picture him when he first appears, all annoying and arrogant and flirtatious, looking like he hasn’t a care in the world, but that guy doesn’t seem quite mature enough for Zac at the end of the book when he’s had his heart broken twice and is willing to lay his life down for another.
But I like your chosen pictures fine, they’re just different from what I’d thought they would be. 😉 Does my idea of him startle you? 😛 It’s not very different.

June 5, 2018 at 9:46 pm #73890Well, I guess I always imagined him the way he is because when I first came up with the concept of his character, he was a lot like Dmitry, from Anatasia, and that guy, Derek Klena, is the actor who plays Dmitry on Broadway. So my brain just kind of linked them.
Robbie Amell is probably the last person I would have ever thought of looking like him. I think he looks a bit too “bad boy” for Zac. But yeah…maybe he does look more like Zac at the end of the novel.

June 5, 2018 at 9:51 pm #73891@seekjustice What? Zac isn’t the “bad boy” type? He’s got iffy morals, gets drunk all the time, is crazily flirtatious with a girl he doesn’t even know, and hates his cousin because his cousin is “good”…and he’s not a bad boy? I’m curious to know what your definition of a bad boy is, in that case. 😮 😛 I mean, yeah, he’s not in a gang and he doesn’t do drugs or stuff like that, but those pictures of Robbie Amell I used don’t look like a gangster guy either, in my opinion. Not that I’ve ever met any gangsters…

June 5, 2018 at 10:02 pm #73892Well, my definition is definitely something that leans slightly more toward Justice than Zac. Not that Justice is really a bad boy. In the books I’ve read though, the bad boys are definitely dangerous, sarcastic, cruel (Oh goodness, I’ve been editing Stars and Justice is so…horrible to absolutely everyone. What Chessy sees in him I have no idea). Whereas Kendall and Zac just seem to be morally grey…rogues.
Mr Rochester, I would see as being a bad boy. Dark and brooding, with lots of secrets and a very short temper. Dorian Grey from the Portrait of Dorian Grey, The Phantom….you know, those Byronic types.
And then there’s the sort of charming conmen, like Dmitry, and then dissolute people who don’t believe in anything, like Sydney Carton.
No in fairness, he doesn’t look like a gangster.

June 5, 2018 at 10:10 pm #73893@seekjustice Okay, I wonder if it’s an American thing? Usually when I hear the term “bad boy” it’s used to define the rule-bender who doesn’t believe in much but is very charismatic and the girls fall for him quick as a wink. I could be wrong about this, let’s ask @jenwriter17 😛
The other guys…oh, don’t even mention Dorian Gray. He’s too bad to even…he’s just a villain. 😛 The really bad, dark and broody guys who have a little bit of good in them, like Mr. Rochester or the Phantom, Heathcliff being the most famous of the originals, I would consider to be more correct for the title “anti-hero.” I think there might be another title in more everyday use, just like “bad boy” but I can’t think of it right now.
