@seekjustice Haha. Nope, Zac is my one and only top favorite character out of both of your books. 😀 But I have a few others I like a lot. Lets see…
Jean. I feel like I could like Jean a lot, but don’t know him very well. He seems to play a very significant role in the lives of Chessy, Justice, Quillon, and Kai, as well as Dr. Manly, and yet he’s usually in the background, mentioned once or twice, but never does anything really significant that I can actually take hold of. I’d really like to get to know him better.
Chessy. I love her POV though I have a bit of a hard time relating to her choice clothing. Cargo pants are so completely not my style that I can’t comprehend someone actually preferring to wear them. 😛 I am amazed at the way you were able to portray her femininity mingled with her strength, because most of the modern books I’ve read sacrifice one for the other. A girl has to be strong, so she can’t be feminine, or the other way around. So, you did a really good job with Chessy, and I like her a lot, though I wouldn’t want to be her. 😉
And, you are going to think this is random, but…Stasya! 😀 Other than the fun, easy-going, handsome type, who has a thundercloud of emotions, but can be charming all the same, (Zac,) I really like the strong, rather quiet man, who probably has an interesting backstory, but is so polite and gentle that you don’t realize it, and whose very presence emanates strength and security so much that you can never be afraid in his vicinity – unless you’re the bad guy, in which case you’re terrified. That’s how I picture Stasya, and you may think I should know him even less than I know Jean, and I may be completely wrong about how you pictured him yourself, but that is how I think of him.
Sooo…what did you think of my picks? I know Chessy and Quillon are your favorite characters, but, what do you think of mine? 😉

I wear cargo pant sort of things quite regularly, and I do like them 😀 Chessy’s clothing choice is sort of like mine. Chessy is just generally heavily based on me, we’re both that tomboy, yet still girly, sort of person.
I’m secretly in love with Stasya too. I picture him a lot like Jonas, and yes, he does have a pretty terrible backstory, but he never talks about it, so no one ever thinks about it. 😀 I had a lot of fun creating his character, even though he was a spur of the moment kind of thing. I like the way you describe him.
Yes, Quillon and Chessy are my favourites. But I like all of them (excepting Sean Darcy and Everett MacLachlan), so I don’t mind who your favourites are.

www.jennaterese.comI haven’t really seen anything fantastic this year. I’ve been rewatching the Sherlock series though, and I love that. My mum saw the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (What a mouthful) movie though and she thought it was really good and we’re going to watch it together as soon as it comes out on DVD 😀
I also rewatched the Lord of the Rings. 😛

@seekjustice Yes, I know Chessy is based on you, and I know that people do actually like wearing cargo pants. I just mean that it’s hard for me personally to understand since my own style is so different. 😛 One of my favorite parts was actually when Neva gave Chessy that skirt and Zac and Justice liked it. 😉 But cargo pants are part of Chessy’s character, and I wouldn’t like it if they were taken away, either.
I don’t even really care if we ever find out what Stasya’s backstory is. It’s just easy to see that he does have one, and it’s really cool to see how he reacts to it so differently than Justice did. Justice shut everything off and became a harsh, too-strong, unemotional person, and then when something even worse happened he was reduced to a blubbering mess of a teenage boy. Stasya has potentially a much worse backstory, and yet is calm, caring, and strong. I was glad to see Justice break down and be more emotional, but I would hate for Stasya to change. Honestly, if Stasya stays as good as he is right now, and we get to know him better, I don’t know whether I’d eventually be able to choose between him and Zac. They’re both perfect. 😀

I think it would have been quite a novel experience for Justice and Zac to see Chess in a skirt. Though actually the scene right at the start of Stars, Chessy wears a skirt when she and Jean go to the park.
He’s just generally a nicer, more polite person than Justice is. I like Stasya alot, he’s also kind of mysterious, even to me!
