@rochellaine They care, but they don’t understand why I might do a crazy thing like write all night when I have a burst of inspiration or something that other writers understand. And you guys can answer my questions when they can’t. That’s all I meant by it.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 16, 2018 at 1:35 pm #72722@alia Oh, that is the one by Rodgers and Hammerstein. I just looked it up and it says for the 2013 adaption on Broadway they wrote a whole new book and added a few songs R&H had written separately to the score. So, it’s got a lot of the same songs, but it’s not quite the same musical.
I’m listening to it now, though, and you should listen to/watch the Julie Andrews version too. 😉 (Both the Julie Andrews version and the Lesley Ann Warren version are on YouTube.)
What is your favorite song?
@ariel-ashira Haha, okay. That makes sense."Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 16, 2018 at 1:55 pm #72723@rochellaine, will do. I haven’t actually finished listening to it yet because I had to go to bed in the middle last night

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 16, 2018 at 1:59 pm #72724@rochellaine, I found the Julie Andrews version, (I’ll listen to it after the one I sent you) and a Whitney Housten version (1997), but I didn’t see the Lesley Ann Warren version

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 16, 2018 at 2:10 pm #72725@alia Don’t worry about the Lesley Ann Warren version. I just recommended it because it’s another version and because the singing is pretty good, but I don’t really like the acting. I’ve just been watching clips and remembered that. If you want to see what it was like you can fine a lot of short clips of it on YouTube, but the Julie Andrews version is much better. I think I’ve seen the 1997 version as well, but I don’t remember it much.
One thing I thought was cool about the 1965 version was that it has Walter Pidgeon(WOW) and Ginger Rogers(Double WOW) as the king and queen. 😀 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ_uJVHw24w Have you heard of them?
Edit: Oh! And Celeste Holm as the Fairy Godmother! I’d forgotten about that. I guess it was an all-star cast!

May 16, 2018 at 2:14 pm #72727@rochellaine, I recognize them, but I can’t remember from where. I’ll have to look it up now

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 16, 2018 at 2:31 pm #72728@alia Ginger Rogers is most famous for her work as Fred Astaire’s leading lady, but she is also known as an amazing comedienne and dramatic actress in her own right. Walter Pidgeon is one of the greatest male actors from the 40s and has been in lots of stuff. His most frequent partner was Greer Garson in a lot of drama films, but he’s also well known for doing the sci-fi movie The Forbidden Planet, and is really good in that as a semi-mad scientist.
Celeste Holm is a comedic actress, basically. 🙂 She had small parts in a lot of 40s and 50s movies, including acting opposite Frank Sinatra, (who I strongly dislike, but acknowledge as a famous person. 😛 )

May 16, 2018 at 2:45 pm #72729@rochellaine, Celeste is in Tom Sawyer (I just looked it up) and Meet Me in St. Louis. I haven’t seen either, but my mom loves the latter.
I didn’t recognize any of the other two’s movies, but I recognize them

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 16, 2018 at 2:53 pm #72730@alia The Meet Me in St. Louis Celeste Holm was in is the 1966 tv remake. Is that really the one your mom likes? Most people only know the 1944 version with Judy Garland. (I have never heard of the ’66 version until now. The only versions I’d heard of were the ’44 version and the ’59 version with Jane Powell.
Oh, I haven’t seen Tom Sawyer, (1973,) but I love the songs! And when I watched clips of it I knew I recognized that character, but couldn’t place her. I guess because her hair and dress are so different than what she wears in her other films. Cool! My favorite song from Tom Sawyer is Gratifaction. That’s when Tom gets all the other boys to paint the fence for him. 😛 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVg2pm0YdQ0

May 16, 2018 at 3:11 pm #72731@rochellaine, I didnt realize there was more than one. I have no clue which one my mom likes, probably the older one.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 16, 2018 at 3:14 pm #72732@alia Whoops! Was she locked in, or did she just decide she preferred being inside?
Last night it rained buckets and there was a flash flood. We had to rescue the rabbits from drowning, literally, since a river is now where their cage used to be, on the low ground in our backyard. They spent the night in our basement in an extra dog cage.
Do you have any other animals?
