@rochellaine For sure π Do you want to read the edited or unedited? It shouldn’t take me terribly long to edit it, since I have a deadline driving me on π

@jenwriter17Β Β Oh! You’re almost done! That’s so exciting! Is there any chance I could beta read it? I know I wasn’t the best at giving you feedback before, so I understand if you don’t want me to.I’m working on a story I had an idea for this morning about a girl who I am now calling Tovia.

http://www.encircledbygrace.com/May 12, 2018 at 10:38 pm #72494@jenwriter17 I don’t really care.Β I’m editing something for SeekJustice right now, so I’ll not be too impatient for yours.Β I just want you to know that I definitely want to read it when you are ready to let me! π
@kaya-young That’s a cool name!Β Does it have a meaning?"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 12, 2018 at 10:43 pm #72495@rochellaineΒ Yes, It actually was a nameΒ Β @aliaΒ suggested, and I modified a bit. π Tove was the original though, and it means thunder.
How goes the western?

http://www.encircledbygrace.com/May 12, 2018 at 10:59 pm #72496@kaya-young Interesting.Β I love tweaking names to make them sound more cool. π
It’s going okay.Β I’m a really slow writer, so there hasn’t been a whole lot of progress made, though I’ve done a bunch of editing.
Is the story you’re working on a book or a short story?

www.jennaterese.comMay 13, 2018 at 10:16 pm #72510@seekjustice Today I was singing the old kiddie song, “Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree,” and wondered if you sing that in Australia, or if it’s just an American song about an Australian animal.Β So, I’m asking you. π
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 13, 2018 at 10:35 pm #72511Yeah we sing that song π I’m pretty sure its actually an Australian song. I didn’t know other people sang it too π

May 13, 2018 at 10:45 pm #72512@seekjustice Cool.Β Well, yes, I guess other people do sing it. πΒ I learned it from a singing teacher we had a really long time ago when I was probably seven or eight years old.Β I’ve heard it in a medley of folk songs recently, though, and since those were mostly American folk songs I wondered if it was actually Australian or not.
You really are a useful information source…
π
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 13, 2018 at 10:54 pm #72513Well, yep, its Australian. Have you heard any other Australian songs?
As are you π just a question: in America do homeschoolers get typecast as super conservative girls with denim skirts and long hair? Like, half way to being Amish sort of people?
