@seekjustice Hm, that’s a hard question. 🙂 I’ll have to give a qualified answer right now, because my opinions are biased based on my likes or dislikes of the actors portraying the characters in the production I saw. For example, the boy playing Davey was an okay actor, but looked awful and had voice I didn’t like, so I didn’t like Davey, but I might like him played by another actor. However, here is what I can say now:I absolutely loved Crutchie. He was probably my favorite from this performance. His song in the refuge about writing a letter to Jack was beautiful, and the actor had a wonderful laugh/sob that he did in the middle of it that completely endeared the character to me.
I liked Jack’s character. I didn’t like the actor quite as much as the actor who played Crutchie, which is why I don’t like Jack as much as Crutchie right now. However, the part was amazing, and if I saw an actor I liked better I would probably like Jack at least as much, if not better than, Crutchie. Also, apparently I missed one part of what Jack did, because I was watching the dancers in another part of the stage, but my mom told me about it when I said I didn’t like him as much, and if I had seen that I probably would have liked him better. 😉
I only know the names of a couple of others, since I only saw the show once. Sorry. Once I get to know the musical better I’ll probably know the other characters better and be able to give you a true opinion on them. The reason I don’t know much about it is because I purposefully didn’t listen to the songs or watch clips very often before going to the show because I didn’t want to compare the show unfavorably with the “best-of-the-best” Broadway and Disney stars. 🙂 However, I was pleasantly surprised in that the production was amazing and the actors were all very good, so I probably needn’t have worried about that.
Anyway, right now it seems I like Crutchie best. There, you have the short answer. 😛

@rochellaine Pretty good. I’m reading over my last chapter before posting it for my beta readers 🙂 I’m not sure the ending turned out the way I wanted it to, so we’ll see what the readers say.
