@seekjustice You don’t like “Sixteen Going on Seventeen”?! WHY? I think it’s kinda cute. π My mom would’t stop singing that to me the week before I turned seventeen π

www.jennaterese.comMay 7, 2018 at 8:34 pm #72125@jenwriter17 Yup, my western! πΒ I told Chara I’d get her new boots soon, and she’s been behaving a bit better. π
How about your characters?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 7, 2018 at 8:36 pm #72126No, I don’t like it a whole lot. Sorry π

May 7, 2018 at 8:39 pm #72127@rochellaine My characters are miserable. So, in other words, good π
I have to step away to help with dinner, I might be on later tonight.

www.jennaterese.comMay 7, 2018 at 9:08 pm #72128@jenwriter17 Okay.Β I think I’ll be off and on all night, so just give me a tag when you get back, and I might be here!

May 7, 2018 at 9:34 pm #72130You still on? i’ll be around for a bit, reading Jen’s book!

May 7, 2018 at 9:39 pm #72131@seekjustice Well, I’ve been getting distracted, but I’ll get back to work now. πΒ Thanks for reminding me. π
Ohhh, reading Jen’s book?Β You might be making me jealous.Β Oh well, I had the chance to read it and turned it down!Β Because I’d rather read the entirety of a book at once rather than reading little sections at a time.Β I’ll get to read it eventually.
Are you enjoying it?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 7, 2018 at 9:43 pm #72132Don’t get distracted! Poor Chara will never get new shoes if you do that!
Fair enough. I preferΒ reading a little bit at a time, if i’m commenting/editing it. I am enjoying it, unfortunately its been so long since I read the first bit that I’ve kind of forgotten what happened. :/

May 7, 2018 at 9:53 pm #72133@seekjustice Haha!Β You’ve been reading my conversations with Jen, haven’t you? πΒ Unfortunately, it’s a whole lot easier getting distracted than staying focused.
Yup, that’s partly why I like reading something all at once.Β That way I don’t forget what happened.Β Also, I can get more into the book if I read it all at once.Β If there’s a sad scene, but I start only a chapter before, sometimes I don’t get “into” the story enough that I can actually feel sad.Β Then I’m disappointed because I’m cheated out of a good crying section. π

May 7, 2018 at 9:57 pm #72134Of course. I live in the future and know many things.
True! I would just sit down and read right through a book if life would let me. the good thing is though, I’m way behind so I have plenty to read π

May 7, 2018 at 10:03 pm #72135@seekjustice π
Ah, that is a good thing.
How’s everything going for you, other than your poor wrists?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 7, 2018 at 10:06 pm #72137it hasn’t been a great month so far, but I’m sure I’ll get over it soon. Have you listened to any new musicals lately? I could use some new listening material π

May 7, 2018 at 10:13 pm #72139@rochellaineΒ What do you think of the song “Climb Every Mountain”?Β I dont think you mentioned that one.Β I agree with you about the other songs.Β Sixteen going on Seventeen would be funny if it didnt actually happen all the time in real life.
"In a mask, was he?"
May 7, 2018 at 10:20 pm #72140@seekjustice π I’m sorry.
Well, I was listening to a bit of Jane Eyre yesterday, but I’m sure you’ve already heard that musical, haven’t you?
I also recently found some 70s(ish?) musicals by Disney, (where Newsies came from, of course,) about Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.Β I haven’t seen the movies, and I don’t know how accurate to the books they are, and of course since the books are classics I’d recommend reading the books, but the songs I listened to were pretty good.Β Very American, in the historical sense.
You should at least listen to Bless Yore Beautiful Hide and Sobbin’ Women from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, though.Β I know you don’t like movie musicals where the songs don’t have a lot to do with the plot, but those songs are very funny.Β Especially Sobbin’ Women, which is based on Plutarch’s Lives. (But don’t ever read Plutarch’s Lives if you can help it… π )
@ariel-ashira I absolutely LOVE Climb Ev’ry Mountain!Β I didn’t list it for SeekJustice because I was just listing songs that were necessary to the plot.Β I don’t mind if there are songs which are unnecessary to the plot, and I think Climb Ev’ry Mountain is amazing.Β π"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 7, 2018 at 10:26 pm #72141I have heard some of Jane Eyre, but my feelings on the story are quite mixed so I’ve never listened to the whole thing.
I will listen to those (maybe this afternoon). And I’ll look into the Disney musicals as well!
