Oh, the boots being ruined is probably the worst of all, isn’t it? I hadn’t thought of that. I did plan for her to get a new pair, but I don’t think I told her that yet, so maybe that’s the trouble. 😉
You know, I realize that what my characters go through isn’t necessarily horrible compared to what your or SeekJustice’s characters go through, but you gotta remember that my story is supposed to be contemporarily realistic. Things that could actually happen now in America. 😛
Maybe that’s something else that would help! If I could introduce Chara to Rin, maybe she’d realize her life isn’t so bad after all.

Rin would gladly give her a lecture on being a rebel against the government with no parents and getting into trouble with the police all the time. And if Chara was interested, she would tell her exactly how to break out of any cell and where to find the best fast-food. 😛

Bobert is well, but he says he’s starving, and is pulling me toward the kitchen. I want to keep writing, but I think I’ll have to get him some dinner first. We might be back in an hour or so, if you’re still here, but goodbye for now!

@rochellaine I’m working on Clouded Fury. It’s at a slower pace than I’d like, but it seems to be a steady pace. So, not too bad I guess. 🙂

@skredder I’m editing my western, which is also going at a slower pace than I’d like. 🙂 However, my pace is not at all steady, so congratulations on that score. 😛
How are your characters behaving?

@rochellaine They’re actually behaving rather well right now. A couple of them, that don’t trust each other, are about to have a heart-to-heart. We’ll see how that goes. At least I do have a mediating character, although I just revealed a really horrible moment in his otherwise unexciting backstory.

@skredder A heart-to-heart? Oh, that was the most terrifying part of my last book for me to write! I had been planning it from the beginning and had it all perfect in my head, and then when I finally got to that scene I completely forgot everything I had planned. 🙁 It turned out okay, but though I can’t remember what I had planned I’m still sure it was better than what ended up on paper! 😛

@rochellaine They’re gonna have a heart-to-heart and pseudo trust each other. Then I am going to shatter that trust with a jack-hammer, but only on one side.
