@epicaddie2 I wish I had profound, mind-blowingly wise advice, but… well this is as close as I’m gonna get. 😉 I’ve been knee-deep in worldbuilding for a while, and something that I’ve found helps me is to ask “why?” about things. For example, I decided that, as a rule, dwarves are cheery folk. WHY?? I decided it was because they have very dangerous jobs, tunneling and mining and such, and death is common. Their culture could easily be very dark, but they choose to see the light and joy in things and like to enjoy life while they can. That was a huge step for me in defining dwarf culture. So, there is my advice. Ask “why” more times than a three-year-old. 😉
