…but the man was expecting him to…and hides behind a blonde-haired woman…who is a wife and mother…just like Iris.
But no one sees the man…
…and Riker killed a wife and mother…and her husband hates him for it.
But even Leon’s hate comes nowhere near close to…
Riker’s hatred of himself.

So…for Ezra!
Already married to Eva Goldmann, Ezra and his family live out of the town, instead living in the country on a large family farm. That’s where Eva lives, along with his parents and siblings. And where he lives. Well…that is…
when he’s actually home.
Because…you see…Ezra is still in the Air Force in this AU.
He’s already served one tour in the Middle East, and he’s set to head out for another.
But…Eva is pregnant with their first child…
…and she’s terrified.
Ezra isn’t scared of combat…no…he’s terrified about being a father.
Yes, excited.
But terrified.
But if he doesn’t make it back…
who will take care of his wife and newborn son?
(Don’t worry y’all, he doesn’t die. I promise. I couldn’t do that!!!!!)
And here he is, basically the same as my other pic for him. 😉 But he has a bit darker skin and brown eyes. 😀

Hehe…y’all don’t know this one…and he’s not in my normal book, cause he died…but Leon’s middle name is Jedidiah, named after him…
IT’S LEON’S GRANDFATHER!!!! (In this AU, a WWII Vet!)
He lives in the town, running a small grocery/coffee shop.
He’s considered a bit of a freak by some, being a very faithful man of God. After all, religion is only for freaks now in many minds.
But who cares what they say!?
He’s seen firsthand what God can do.
He barely survived WWII. He fought in D-Day, battled towards Germany, and barely survived the Battle of the Bulge.
But he’s alive…and only God can be responsible for that.
Also, he loves his grandson and granddaughter-in-law. Oh…
and he loves his great grandkids the most.
Not that he’s biased or anything…
He believes that everyone can be forgiven, and he is nice to everyone he meets.
But some of these young ones…they don’t have time to just talk anymore.
And they’re on their phones way too much.
Can’t they just talk to someone!?

Come to think of it though…no matter the situation, any character can become the villain of their own story. What true problems do we have that we don’t cause or feed ourselves?

Hey guys, this is just me rambling about Bronwen’s Western AU 🙂 Tbh I like it more than her normal story. Sidenote, this would be set in western Montana in the late 1800s. And it does have a happy ending and redemption arcs for Bronwen and company, buut I haven’t written it yet lol
Bronwen
Appearance – Long, bushy dark hair, sharp green eyes, 5’10, tan skin. Wears a Stetson, a long duster, cowboy boots and a thick belt, all black (and probably leather/hide), wears a red bandana over her nose and mouth, straight-cut blue jeans, silver belt buckle.
Story – She had a rough childhood (as my characters do) but I’ll try to simplify it. Her mother died or left her shortly after her younger brother was born. Her father was an alcoholic and a die-hard gambler and had frequent run-ins with the law, but he was Bronwen and her brothers’ only role model, and they stuck by him. After one such occasion, her father was shot (and killed) and Bronwen’s older brother was locked up. Bronwen was left to fend for herself and her little brother. Oh, and I’d imagine she’d be 12-15 and her little brother (Brody/Broderson) would be 10-12. For years they just scrape by, begging and stealing but trying to avoid any real trouble. But then Bronwen meets Kami, who’s running away from her oil-tycoon father. Kami’s got money, a well-bred horse and absolutely no clue what she’s doing. Bronwen’s got grit and big ideas. She convinces Kami to come along for the ride, and they stick together.
I’ve still got a lot of nitty-gritty details to flesh out, but I’ve got a rough plan. Thanks to Kami’s love of adventure (and drama) Bronwen gets dragged into actual felonies (just the classics, train robberies and stuff. They never kill anyone!). She and Kami make quite the reputation for themselves, and Bronwen comes up with a plan to free her older brother. This is where Mercedes comes in! Buuut her relationship with Bron and Kami is less than friendly. Mercy is the sheriff’s daughter, and Bronwen and Kami are going to kidnap her and use her as ransom to get Benjamin (Bron and Brody’s brother) out of jail. After that they’ll skip town. But of course, Mercedes isn’t happy about being held against her will and she puts up a heck of a fight, things go awry, etc. etc. This is sort of inspired by a funny short story called “The Ransom of Red Chief” by O. Henry, which is also about a less-than-willing captive who causes trouble for his captors.
But yeah, I don’t have an ending in mind just yet. I do know Bronwen becomes a better person, Brody gets an education and does well for himself, Benjamin may or may not rot in jail?? and Kami.. just chills out a bit I guess XDAny critiques and ideas are appreciated! 😀
