FANTASY AU!
Yep, y’all heard that right. A Fantasy AU of my books. 😉
So…still deciding on a name for the kingdom…but I do have characters and pictures!
So…who shall we start with other than the Queen of the kingdom herself?
Queen Louisa II, a kind, fair queen that only wants the best for her country.
But…you see…her husband died years ago…and her son was not ready to rule. So she became Queen. But that’s okay, because her kingdom loves her.
Well…at least…
…most of the kingdom does.
Except…well…for the Lord trying to overthrow her…(but we’ll get to him in a minute!)
And…well…you see…her health is slowly declining. She would have already been dead months ago if it weren’t for her Head Physician/Herbalist Esther. But she trusts in The Light for her healing…and besides…her son is ready for Kingship now…
…well…or so they think…
…the thing is…Abelard doesn’t want to be King…he never did.
And if Louisa’s health does plummet…Aadelheide would be left as Queen…since Abelard won’t take the throne…and the only problem is…she needs a King before the Nobles will allow her to be Queen…which is a huge problem…considering Aadelheide can’t stand noblemen.
And that…may just open the door…
…for…
Lord Hans to take the Kingdom.

Lord Hans! (his title…that he doesn’t deserve…)
Believing he is truly the rightful heir to the throne; Hans has long been on a mission to take the throne. He almost had his chance after King Gus died…by Hans’ doing…but his wife took the throne.
But now her health is declining…her son doesn’t want the throne…her daughter won’t pick a King…and he may just have his chance.
But nothing a little bit of poison won’t speed up, right?
He hires a professional in plants and is able to get a poison berry that’s juices are put in Queen Louisa II’s wine at a banquet.
Her health plummets…and Hans may just have his chance.
But suddenly…Aadelheide is very interesting in a stupid Village boy.
But if Hans could get Aadelheide out of the way…it would leave no one else…
…and he could take the throne and crown.

Princess Aadelheide!
Beautiful, Aadelheide is a favorite among the young noblemen. But they are stingy…prideful…and vain. Aadelheide cannot stand that.
She knows her mother depends on her to marry a man to be the King…but the noblemen…they’re just so…rude.
And Aadelheide wants to do what her mother needs…but she just can’t get over their arrogance.
Don’t they understand that everyone is equal in The Light’s eyes?
But she knows her mother…her kingdom…depends on her…so she tries. But still…the noblemen are all so…annoying, to say the least.
Aadelheide is almost afraid she’ll never find a King.
Well…that is…
…until she meets a young, kind, sweet, intelligent Village boy…Leon…and they both fall in love.
The older noblemen and noblewomen grumble before, during, and after their wedding, and Leon needs to be trained on how to be King…but Aadelheide couldn’t be any happier.
But…Lord Hans wants her out of the way…
…and she doesn’t know it.
But The Light’s will shall be done…
…no matter what that looks like.

Prince Abelard!
Though he is the heir to the throne…Abelard doesn’t want to be King.
He loves his Kingdom and his people…but as King…he would have to stay in the castle almost always.
And the thing is…Abelard much prefers riding a horse or just being outside, the wind in his face and the leaves in his hair.
Is it his fault that The Light gave him a love of the wild and adventurous?
No…no it is not.
His closest friends, William, a Knight, and Ezra, a village Farm boy, both encourage him to follow not in his father’s footsteps, but in the path The Light has for him.
And that’s exactly what Abelard intends to do…
…but when trouble comes…he questions…
Am I to blame? Was I wrong?

Leon!
A village boy…son of a “simple” merchant…Leon is just the normal guy in town.
Nothing special about this dark eyed, dark haired merchant’s son.
His mother died when he was little…and his father…being a merchant…is often away.
But Leon doesn’t mind…
…much.
At least he has his friend Ezra, a village farm boy.
Leon’s life is very normal.
Until he meets Princess Aadelheide.
And they fall in love…and marry…and suddenly…
…Leon has to learn how to be King.
It’s a lot for a village boy to process through.
But he and Aadelheide love each other deeply…
…and she has their first child…a daughter…Isabel.
Louisa passes to be with The Light…and suddenly Leon is King.
But with all his training…he’s ready for anything..
…or so he thought.
