So, in response to the #WhyIWrite on Twitter yesterday: I wanted to ask y’all for your answer to that question. Here’s mine:
October 22, 2015 at 1:37 pm #6754For Gods glory, for my fun, for other’s fun.
Is that topic still active on twitter?

October 22, 2015 at 2:12 pm #6758Tape worms!? Yikes… poodles, okay, but tape worms is where I draw the line. 😉 🙂 😀 😛
I write because if I don’t, my head will explode with all the ideas clamoring to get out, the visions screaming for expression, the messages pounding against the walls of my mind with their fists and shrieking desperately to be let out and tell the world their story.
And it also helps that I’ve never enjoyed anything half so much in my life as I do writing.
October 22, 2015 at 2:35 pm #6760Because it gives me an excuse to eat more.

I write because it’s the only way I understand my thoughts. Words turn my scribbles into straight lines.
October 22, 2015 at 3:52 pm #6763Love the combination of goofy v.s. serious answers. 😛
I’m not sure if it’s still active on Twitter or not. I read about it second-hand.
And if y’all want my goofy answer: For backwards-facing passengers on subway things who need something to distract themselves from motion sickness.
October 22, 2015 at 4:24 pm #6764Because good writing is a good thing and bad writing is a step towards good writing.

October 22, 2015 at 4:25 pm #6765Amen to that one. 🙂
October 22, 2015 at 7:08 pm #6767Because I have a reputation as a lunatic and a wordsmith to uphold— and what better way to kill both birds with one stone?
October 22, 2015 at 7:46 pm #6771True, true.
October 22, 2015 at 10:13 pm #6777Because the people in my mind are too awesome to ignore.
October 22, 2015 at 10:42 pm #6778Because words are a powerful tool that can be used for God’s glory.
annnddddd…. because so many words and ideas well up inside of me that they have to spill out in some way or another and I happen to prefer that they spill out on a page even though it can tend to get messy at times. 🙂

October 22, 2015 at 11:34 pm #6781Oooh, good question. Let’s see…I write because I want to provide teenagers (and adults) with books that are engaging without all the trash and gore that is so common in books now days. I guess I want to help battle all those nasty books out there with something exciting and engaging minus the garbage.
