January 26, 2021 at 12:54 pm #90399Ooooh, I know I always say this but LOVE THE QUOTE!!!!! I can totally relate!! My first drafts are normally just me figuring out what the story’s about and who the character’s leading it are!!

TeenWritersNook.comJanuary 26, 2021 at 2:59 pm #90418So true, my first draft was mostly getting to know my characters and seeing how they handled everything I would throw at them (most of the time, they took it pretty well).

January 26, 2021 at 3:02 pm #90421LOL!!!! Colin (my MC) doesn’t normally take anything I toss his way very well. XD It’s actually pretty hilarious. I mean, more to me as the writer than it’d be for the reader. Eh, Colin and me have an odd relationship. XD

TeenWritersNook.comJanuary 26, 2021 at 4:09 pm #90431Colin sounds like an interesting character:)
Yes, I doubt readers ever have the same relationship with the MCs as the writer has. Since they don’t have to put up with them during the writing process, XD.
It seems as if there are different relationships with each character too (yes, I know I’m crazy) but the relationship with my MC (which is, for the most part, a ‘comrades in arms’ kind) is different from the one I have with Anton (which is mostly discussing natural medicines and the like).- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by Abigail.M..
January 26, 2021 at 4:28 pm #90434Haha, well, he is something else. XD
YES!! I TOTALLY agree with you on that one!!!!!! That’s true!! Readers don’t have to put up with the characters like us writers do as we’re writing!!! Oh, no, that’s not crazy! I TOTALLY am with you on that one!!! Genie and me have a much better relationship than Colin and me.Â
Really ’cause Colin can be very rude. XDThat’s SUPER cool about you and your characters relationship!! You’re characters sound AWESOME!!!!!! <33God gives His hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.
TeenWritersNook.comJanuary 26, 2021 at 4:45 pm #90435Thanks:) your characters sound awesome too!
Yeah, the only character that I don’t get along with is the villain. He pretty much ignores me and doesn’t realize that I’m the one making it so the MC usually defeats him. Which is sort of funny.
It’s actually kind of interesting. But now I wonder what the writer’s relationship with the characters of my favorites book is XD. Like in Paint The Wind, I wonder what Ryan thought of Maya and Artemisia when she was writing it.January 27, 2021 at 10:17 am #90574“You fail only if you stop writing.” – Ray Bradbury.
January 27, 2021 at 12:18 pm #90581@abigail-m Ahh I love Ray Bradbury! He’s what motivates me to keep writing every day, haha.
Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysJanuary 27, 2021 at 12:33 pm #90586I love all of Ray Bradbury’s quotes. This one in particular always helps keep my hands on the keyboard:)
