@gracie-j *coughs* Well, it’s been a week. I do tend to be perennially late to things, which I suppose includes replying to forum posts. My apologies. 😛
Ooh, I love that idea! I’ll have to check them out. (Though I suppose the celebration may have already passed…oops. Ah well, better slightly late than never, I suppose. :P)
Heh, I perhaps may have–though that’s between me and my resident ninja who feeds me info about my fellow KeePers. 😛 What drew you to GWTW, may I ask? The plot? The characters? The overall GWTW-ness? I’ve seen like…half of the movie? Which I know is a crime, but, alas…I was ten at the time, so can you truly blame me?
Wow…I already love all your characters. 😀 Sounds like Scarlette and Rina *ahem* don’t exactly jive with each other. That truly sounds like a magnificent argument. *sigh of contentment at the prospect of all that beautiful ~drama~* Thanks for the explanation of Scarlette’s motivations! I already feel like I do love Rina–a swordfight with her future husband? That made me snicker just reading about it. How on earth did that come about? (Though it sounds…suspiciously similar to something my characters would do XD)
And oooh, I love the metaphor of heat and shale–I’ll have to keep that one around. Soon-to-be-romantically-involved-arguments oftentimes are the best arguments, I’ve found. *fond look at my two romantically involved MCs* What makes Keaton and Daisy so combustible?
Oh goodness–we got married in January, so… *counts on fingers* almost ten months? So not too terribly long in the grand scheme of things. 😛 (Though goodness, 2020 feels more like it’s been three years than one…it feels like we got married ages ago already. But also, it’s been lovely, so who’s counting? :P)
“Seven seconds till the end. Time enough for you. Perhaps. But what will you do with it?”

@lewilliams I’ve noticed, but then late is always fashionable, isn’t it? 😊
Thank you! And, yes. *sighs* It is over. Admittedly, a blog post a day is rather draining, so I’m quite relieved that my bookiversary week is over–but if you want to check them out, there’s nothing wrong with that! I’ve got a lot planned for the next few days too, so…
All of it. Ahh… Actually, I come from a long line of GWTW lovers. My paternal grandparents make a point to either watch the movie or read the book once a year (can’t remember which one), and then my maternal grandfather is a history buff (he’s awesome), so he really enjoyed GWTW. I love all the characters–minus Ashley–and of course I love historical romance of any kind (long as it’s clean, that is). Everything about it is positively splendid. Admittedly, I liked the movie better than the book (is that wrong?), simply because of (1) Clarke Gable, (2) only one cuss word as opposed to many, and (3) it’s easier to keep up with in movie form. As a movie, it’s cinematography at its finest! A truly beautiful production! A classic! But then, I could talk about GWTW all day! I love Rhett, as well. He’s the driving force behind Tell Me No Lies, in fact, as I based one of the characters off of him (although you can’t tell now; Rhys has morphed into a man all his own).
I pretty much forced my family to sit down at watch the whole movie with me when I was about twelve-ish, and that took a lot, so I don’t blame you for having only watched half. It’s nearly four hours long, I think.
Oh, yes. The drama! *sighs as well, with the slightest hint of a mischievous cackle* What’s funny, to me, is that Rina and Scarlette were once on pretty good terms. Scarlette knows how to play people, and she can seem like an angel sometimes and a demon the next, so once Rina got a glimpse of the imp in her–BOOM! All hope of peace was lost–not that I’m complaining!
Rina is definitely a fan-favorite. (I think I’ve said that already…but it’s true. She’s pretty awesome. Or, wait. Is that bragging?) The swordfight…ooh…well, at the risk of spoiling something…I’ll put it like this: Rina is a pirate captain. Xavier is a merchant ship captain. He–and his ship–happened to get a wee bit too close, so… It’s a rather hilarious scene, though, as he doesn’t realize she’s the captain and she makes a couple snarky comments…and, well…you know. 😉
The heat and shale metaphor is definitely a favorite of mine–so you do what you can to popularize it, will you?
Ugh…I want to tell you!!! But I don’t want to spoil anything!!!!! Rrrrrrrr…… Okay, well, first off, Keaton and Daisy grew up together–she was his younger sister’s best friend. And, well, Keaton’s younger sister died, Keaton moved away (onto a pirate ship), and Daisy ended up a really bad situation. (No hints, Grace. No hints!) So, um, well, they butt heads a lot, because they both want to get their own way, and neither of them turned out like they should have (I mean, Keaton’s a pirate, so…). And you know how romantic chemistry is… 😉
Aw… 😊 Well, happy two-month early anniversary! (Yeah…it may be a little to early for that!) Yeah, it feels like it’s been forever since January/February, and yet the months since March have just flown by… *shakes head* Time. I will never understand it’s passing.
