Can someone tell me what a visual poem is please? I saw @bluejay’s poem that she labeled that, but then @daeus said it wasn’t really a visual poem and I wasn’t able to click on the link to see his. What is it? Cause when I know, I might want to write one. I enjoy poetry.

December 6, 2016 at 8:43 am #22344@anne-of-lothlorien Well, bluejay’s poems had a visual pattern, which is bonus points for her, but a real visual poem is a bit more. It’s a poem shaped in a picture or pattern that has symbolic meaning to the poem itself. For instance, you could have a poem about yourself shaped like a human figure. You could have a poem about Jesus shaped like a cross. You could have a poem about rain shaped like a raindrop. To be more symbolic, you could have a poem about hope (I’m sure she’d love that) shaped like a butterfly.
I wonder why the link didn’t work. Will it work now?

@hope is dauntless, and a little weird
Her writing is notorious and her wit is feared
To be on the end of her razor sharp mind
Is a scarring experience, I’m sure you will findHer books are well written and quite enthralling
Into her spell you will find yourself falling
The only way to release the bind
Is to shut your e-reader and get it out of your mindThere. That is my lovely poem about @hope. Okay, I want people to read that. @corissa-maiden-of-praise @bluejay @writefury @dragon-snapper @kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy @sarah-h @sleepwalkingmk @the-bean @Mark-Kamibaya @winter-rose @Rolena-Hatfield @ethryndal @i-j-anderson @anne-swiftblade @ivy-rose @leumeister

@emma-flournoy @daeus @kate-flournoy hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha back at yah. I literally came up with that on the fly, but it’s my best of that type… cause I’ve never written a poem about a specific person before.ENFP - "One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane."
