Yeah, I feel like it was still relatively active after that. I stalked the website before I was old enough to join (and that was 3 or 4 years ago) and it never looked “shut down” to me. New articles, new members, and Kathleen was still active until recently (I can’t even remember when that was lol ?).

And yet, things were moving full-swing a few years ago. They were opening a publishing house of sorts.
I joined around 2021, several years after that Hiatus notification. I think the KP I saw a was a little different from what was then, but I wouldn’t say it was on Hiatus. (Plus, Story Embers has turned into a fabulous teaching tool, but not really a community.) The moderators were different. The Raspberry King etc. had left to go to Story Embers, and we had the Ramms instead. They may have followed that precedent on taking a break, though. Wish we were notified, but I understand if running this is too big of a load… *Shrug*
