I’d like to vote for To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s on my summer reading list, I’ve just never gotten to it. As for Ben-Hur… Well… Let’s just say it wasn’t my style. 🙂 Sometimes I like really good descriptive books, but with Ben-Hur, I felt like some of the descriptive paragraphs went on for a little bit too long. It was an amazing story, though, and if it had been condensed, I probably would’ve loved the book.
I can also suggest (even if you don’t all read it) Kingdom Tales by David and Karen Mains. It’s an AMAZING Christian allegory, and each chapter is kind of its own story but they all come together at the end. It’s a trilogy– Tales of the Kingdom, Tales of the Resistance, and Tales of the Restoration… highly recommended!

Sorry everyone– I posted that after reading the first page of discussion, before I realized that there were eight pages and the book was already decided! 🙂 I’ll try to join in on the next book… I’m still finishing up school for the summer and probably don’t have time for an extra reading project right now, but I’ll make sure to watch for future books!
