      What are you most excited about in your current WIP at this moment?

       Right now I’m currently outlining a novel with my siblings and a short story on my own.

      So at the moment what’s making me most excited is thinking up fresh ideas and putting together like pieces in a puzzle.

      Especially with the short story, I’m currently working on, because I can usually outline the whole thing in less than two days, and it’s really fun seeing a whole complete story idea come together in just a couple of days. Which is a lot more exciting than waiting months upon months to finish outlining a novel.

      So yeah, that’s what I’m most excited about now. A story that didn’t exist a couple of days ago now lives in my head and on scribbles on pieces of paper. I can’t wait to start writing it.

      So what about the current writing projects your working on that is exciting you the most?

        @kathleenramm Hmm…I’m currently working on maybe four or five things. I’ll just say the ones I’m most excited for.

        For the one I’m drafting I can’t wait to get to the interactions with the villains. It’s going to be excellent.

        For the one I’m plotting I can’t wait to start writing it. I’m looking forward to it a lot, since I’ve been planning this for years now.

          I am actually more scared than excited. But I wrote a practice scene between the main character and her new friend that is exciting! Right now I am in the brainstorming/outlining/practicing stage, which is my favorite.

          share the journey

            I’m actually struggling with my WIP at the moment, struggling to find what really excites me about it, but it will cross-over with a couple of other projects and I’m excited to see how those character interactions play out. One of the characters I usually write as a kid will be an adult, for instance, so that’s likely to be fun. 🙂

              I’m really loving the mystery/thriller aspects of my novel, which I’m always trying to weave in to all my other plots, haha!  I’m also loving my MC, Hope’s, personality.  I’m bouncing back and forth between three (?) *counts on fingers* –no, four WIPs (which is probably too many, but it’s whatever 😆).  Whenever I lose interest in one, I go to another one, then cycle around (*sings the “Never-ending Story theme*).  Maybe it’s just me, but I’m loving it!! ❤❤❤

                I’m excited about finding a new direction for my WIP. I’ve been struggling with confusion for a while now, wondering where things are going. But I’ve been praying and meditating, and I’m starting to get some clarity. So it will be very exciting to see God’s plans play out!

                  @kathleenramm Ruining all of my characters’ lives. Hmm…on a happier note, I’ve been most excited throughout my entire writing process (which has been going on for over a year now) about the character arcs, really. I am so excited about bringing my characters–particularly Keaton and Rina–to their knees, and I am definitely enjoying the romance between Keaton and Daisy!!

                    @kathleenramm

                    I agree wholeheartedly with @gracie-j about destroying my characters’ lives (sorry, my poor antagonist) XD With that aside, I think the thing that I enjoy the most is having the opportunity to spend time in my characters’ heads and watch their character arcs/lives unfold with every chapter. It’s been very heartwarming to see my characters learn valuable lessons, redemption, and friendship as they embark on this adventure, and it’s even changed my perspective on certain things myself. I love writing about my characters changing themselves for the better, becoming happier and wiser people as a result of all the hardships, and having that ‘ah-ha’ moment of their epiphany, where their character arc is completed.

                    So all in all, I think the thing that I’m most excited about is getting to witness my characters going through drastic arcs and learning lessons throughout the story, because it’s such a heartwarming thing 🙂

                      Hmm, it depends on the WIP. I’m working on four at the same time, two of which have deadlines… *nervous laugh*

                      Anyway, in my main novel (which I’m co-writing), I’m excited to introduce my villain for the first time. As this is my third draft, I know the basics of what I’m going to say. However, it’ll be fun to rewrite it and to see if I can display his anger and hatred better than before. I’m even more excited to see what one of my friends has to say about the hooded, nameless character. Traitors are a lot of fun to write for. 😉

                        What’s the premise of the story you have been working for years on? I can’t wait to get to that point with the big project I’m working on with my siblings. We’ve written a couple test chapters and I just love the seeing all the characters we’ve known forever come to life in a cool world. We are just bit tangled up in a bunch of  different plot lines. XD fingers-crossed we can get the outline organized and start writing it in the next couple months.

                        @when-i-see-the-kingdom

                        I love the brainstorming part of writing as well. It’s so fun seeing a inkling of an idea blossom into a full-blown story.

                        @r-m-archer

                        That’s really interesting! I don’t think I’ve ever written an older version of a character before, but yeah, that does sound like something that would be fun to write.

                        Do you find it hard to capture the same but grown-up version of your character in your novel?

                        @nova21

                        Your definitely not alone about bouncing around different projects! I do that probably way too much as well. XD

                        Have you written thriller/mystery stories before, or is this something brand new to you?

                        @joy-caroline

                        I know all too well how that feels. Especially with one particular story my siblings and I have been writing on and off, we keep running into road blocks that we can’t break through and end up moving on to something else. Until out of nowhere a breakthrough happens while talking  with each other or while watching a movie, and we run back to that novel as fast as we can. XD

                        A new direction always feels nice in a story when you find where to go. I’ll be praying that you will have clarity, many ideas, and inspiration for your novel!

                        @gracie-j

                        Haha, don’t all of us writers secretly love breaking our character’s lives apart?

                        Wow, that’s a long time to go with just writing. What’s your word-count up to now? How close are you to finishing it?

                        @writerlexi1216

                        You put something that I love so much about writing into words in the perfect way! I just love experiencing the world through another person’s eyes and mind and going on a physical and emotional journey with them.

                        How do you like to create character arcs in your stories?

                        @lydia-s

                        Oooh, villain can be so fun to write. They feel so different from other characters!

                        Your co-writing your novel! That’s so cool! Who are you co-writing with? Do you just outline together or do you also do the actual writing part together as well? I’d love to see your process of how you write together.

                          Oh, definitely not, lol!!  All my books have a mystery/thriller/suspense/dystopian aspect to them. 😊  It’s definitely my genre.  Oh, and romance, of course.  ❤

                            @kathleenramm We do.

                            It has been! I’m dedicated to finishing this soon, so I haven’t really gotten started on any other writing projects in at least the last nine months. I’m at 143k, with about 52k left to go. I hope to wrap things up before the end of July!!

                              @kathleenramm That sounds awesome! Good luck! I might’ve shared the blurb here before, but here is a revised version that I did a few days ago…

                              Micah Radcliffe is one of the youngest and most successful businessmen in Heather Flights, CEO of the company Rose Corp. But in reality, he is just one of the many leaders of organized crime that run the underworld beneath the isolated city. However, when he refuses a deal with a mysterious drug dealer, the world which he has carefully constructed around himself begins to fall apart…

                              Ethan Radcliffe has always lived in his brother’s shadow. He’s fine with it; after all, he’s considered cowardly and weak by most of the people around him. But what is this wrenching feeling around his heart? Ethan thought that maybe doing something drastic would ease his burden, but now he just feels more guilty than ever. In his new position, however, and with the help of two people who shouldn’t exist, he starts seeing things in a different light…

                              A story of two brothers, a dying experiment, guilt and revenge, all in this isolated city of Heather Flights…
