@ingridrd So sorry for the late response! I have read through and critiqued chapters 1-2 and I’ll move on to 3-4 soon. π The story is very intriguing. π

I love the castle part!!!! Like where she walks into the room and it like materializes? That is my favorite part thus far!
It would be amazing and maybe scary to look into your imagination…

May 14, 2018 at 10:15 am #72526@daughterofthekingΒ I don’t want to seem at all annoying or anything, but I wondered if you were still Alpha reading for me?Β No rush whatsoever, I just want to see how many people I have reading.Β Thanks!Β π
@kaya-youngΒ I know you got pretty far into my story, but have you finished yet?Β Again, no rush!Β I just wondered.Β And thank you for your comments so far!Β πA dreamer who believes in the impossible...and dragons. (INFJ-T)
May 14, 2018 at 12:00 pm #72534@ingridrd No, not annoying at all! I did finish reading. The thing is, I can’t comment on the actual document. Not any fault of how the doc is set up, just stuff on my end. Sorry about that.
I enjoyed the chapters. If they were from a book I noticed at the library, I would definitely check it out and keep reading! I don’t have any suggestions.Blog: https://weridasusual.home.blog/
May 14, 2018 at 9:20 pm #72563@ingridrdΒ I have not finished yet, but plan on reading more as soon as possible. π

May 18, 2018 at 10:52 am #72832Okay, I’m gonna kind of sort of *completely* copy you and ask you some questions about my story, if you don’t mind (since you’re the only one who has finished it so far)!
1.Β Who was your favorite character and why?
2. Were there any scenes that felt unnecessary or just like a complete info-dump?
3. Are the characters (especially Jaclyn) relatable enough and real enough?
4. Were there any major plot points that just didn’t make sense?
5. Was the ending satisfying and would you read the next book?
@kaya-young @daughteroftheking @anyone-else-who-was-readingΒ Feel free to answer these once you’ve finished!Β πA dreamer who believes in the impossible...and dragons. (INFJ-T)
May 18, 2018 at 1:42 pm #72837@ingridrd Well I copied Seekjustice’s idea of asking questions at the end, so really you’re copying her π
my answers:
1. Jaclyn was definitely my favorite! She’s just so spunky and relatable and, well I just lover ‘er! π William was also adorable.
2. it’s been a while since I finished it, but from what I can remember, no unnecessary or info-dumping scenes come to mind.
3. Yes, in my opinion. I felt I could relate to Jaclyn (because HELLO! traveling to another world! I was as afraid and confused as she was :P) [no your writing wasn’t confusing, just wanted to clarify that π ]
4. Nope, don’t think so. The story always kept my attention really well. π
5. OH MY GOODNESS YES I MUST READ THE NEXT BOOK!!!! major cliffhanger for me, and WHAT A CLIFFHANGER! π
Overall I thought your story was really good, especially your world-building. I was able to picture everything in my mind (and I wasn’t confused), and I think you balanced well giving the reader enough info to trigger their imagination and not describing things too much. Really great job! π
