        @overcomer, great idea! πŸ˜€ Now I have a place to list all my writing troubles! Ah, yes!

        Well, since everyone else is saying what they’re working on… right now I’m trying to figure out a name for a blog I’m thinking of starting. It will be mostly for writing book reviews and the occasional article here and there. Eventually I’d like to post some of my own writings and stories, but I don’t know if I would ever get good enough to do that (hence the “eventually” πŸ˜‰ ). @spradlin is right though. Blog titles are literally the worst. πŸ˜›
        Other than that I’ve just been trying to finish a novel I started like two years ago! πŸ˜› It’s not going the greatest, but hopefully, someday, it will get finished. πŸ˜‰

          Oh YES! I can rant. Let me rant, let me rant. *No I shouldn’t* Argh, I gotta. I have just finished writing a novelette, πŸ™‚ *that’s the good part* the bad part is I got to go back through and make it better. At the moment I’m working through a book called “Save the Cat” (If you haven’t read it you should) and well….my story just doesn’t seem to be going along with what Blake Synder says. In fact my brother says that my bad guy isn’t really my bad guy, he’s my B character and that means I don’t have a bad guy. And I’m not really sure what my MC wants when the story starts. πŸ™
          *Yes, I love ranting* Gasps. *Did I actually post that for everyone to read?*
          Let’s continue. πŸ˜€
          I’m also working on Bondage (some of you might have read it in a critique) But, when you read it again, you won’t recognize it and it will probably confuse you all no end. Because my MC has changed, and it is now the master with the ruined hand and Katrina is going to become the bad guy. *Sniff, I really didn’t want to do that to her. She was such a lovely character in my first story* Anyway, it should make the story much stronger which will be a good thing.
          *I really should stop ranting now* Breathes deeply. *Ok, I’m good. Complaining all done* πŸ˜€

                Haha! Yes, you totally belong here, @Aella . My nemesis is weakening. πŸ˜‰

                You’re very brave, @daeus ! Rewriting your whole story is a bold and tough move. I envy your pertinacity.

                So true about moms! I told mine what you said, and I think she agreed with you. πŸ˜‰

                You do that, @hope ! Don’t let the awesomeness of your neglected novel go to waste. πŸ™‚

                I’m not a good writer, I just use a lot of smiley faces. πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚ :p

                (I will be famous for that quote one day . . .)

                It sounds great, @kate-flournoy . I haven’t read any of the sequel, or the finished version of Rose of Prophecy yet, (Hope and I are pen-pals, and she sent me previous versions of it to read) but I will soon. It’s the sort of story I think, that doesn’t grow old. πŸ™‚

                I’m glad you like it here, @gretald . Feel free to hang out anytime! Complaining and procrastinating are (nearly) all we do here, so you’ll fit right in. It ain’t called a “lounge” for nothin’! πŸ˜‰

                I’m so happy. I wanted some writer to chat with and complain to, and I got a whole bunch of ’em! πŸ˜€ Thanks, guys!

                  Hey @zoe-wingfeather , I’m so glad somebody appreciates me. πŸ˜‰

                  I echo this: WHY IS THERE NOT ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY TO DO EVERYTHING AND WRITE!!! (exclamations added) This is my life in a nutshell, complete with nutcracker.

                  Come on, your novel’s not lame, you just haven’t shed enough sweat and tears over it yet! Put some back into it! πŸ˜‰

                  @faithdk
                  , that’s the sort of blog I envisioned! (Just don’t ask me to come up with a name. I might scream. Blog titles and I are sworn enemies)

                  If you want to practice, why don’t you submit some of your book reviews, short stories, etc., right here on Kingdom Pen? I think it’s a great starting place for young writers (like ourselves) to try new things and get experience.

                  Unfinished novels are sad things, “Wives and Daughters” by Elizabeth Gaskell being one of them. Don’t let your future fans suffer! Finish it! Do for me, please! πŸ˜‰

                  Hey @bluejay ! I haven’t read “Save the Cat . . .”
                  You’re brave, changing up your characters positions in your story.

                  I don’t think I could do that . . . I don’t know, I suppose it would depend on the characters themselves. Some of my characters are too real (to me) to be anything but what they are. To change them would be like writing a falsehood. Sometimes I consider myself to be more of a chronicler than a storyteller, who answers to the rather bossy demands of her characters to write their stories or be haunted forever! (Yep, now you all know how crazy I am.) πŸ˜‰

                  Thanks for joining the party-er, club, everybody! πŸ™‚

                    @overcomer
                    , they can be quite bossy can’t they? I’ve even had them threaten me because I made them do something they didn’t want to do. πŸ˜› There’s one in particular who is incredibly bold and unmanageable, and is this crazy or what but I’m wildly excited about writing him when his story FINALLY gets its turn! πŸ˜› πŸ˜‰

                        @Daeus it hasn’t gotten quite that bad yet, though I do make sure I have a dagger or two about me when I work with my villains. For the most part the better-natured of my characters stand guard over me against the wilder ones, though that may change when it comes time to write their stories. πŸ˜› They can’t seem to be able to grasp (or else don’t appreciate) that the more I hurt them, the better readers will love them. It’s like they don’t even care, or something.

                        I wonder why… πŸ˜›

                          @kate-flournoy Silly characters. You need to show them who’s boss.

                            Welp, that’s what I get for creating characters with a more dominant nature than my own @Daeus.

                            The especially bold one I mentioned above is actually somewhat justified, though— I mean, I wouldn’t feel too happy about it either if someone made me lose my hand. πŸ˜›

                              Luke Skywalker sure wasn’t happy about it, @kate-flournoy πŸ˜‰ I’m glad we’re both crazy.

                              That chainmail idea is genius, @daeus ! I’ll have to give it a try if any of my characters turn sour on me.

                              My characters are (generally) a little more grateful. They seem to understand that I am the only one who can make them immortal . . .

                                and @overcomer, Y’all’s characters do that too?! *jumps up and down* Yessss!! This is my club. XD
                                “More of a chronicler than a story teller”, Bossy and threatening characters, better-natured ones guarding against the wilder ones, “They can’t seem to be able to grasp (or else don’t appreciate) that the more I hurt them, the better readers will love them. It’s like they don’t even care, or something.” They also don’t tend to appreciate it when you kill them off, Kate, beware XD. @Daeus I may just have to start using your chainmail idea unless these dragons calm down soon. XD
