Sorry this took so long, guys. It’s surprisingly hard to write these characters when they aren’t in their own world.
Madeline
“Are you trapped here as well?”
Trapped?
The word shot a hole in her bulletproof smile. Madeline looked shocked for a split second before recovering her usual friendly face. She shook her head.
“No… we’re not trapped. This place has colors… and friends to play with. This can’t be another prison. We can leave, if we want to, right?” The question was addressed to no one in particular, but there was a dangerous quiver in her voice as she said it, daring anyone to disagree.
Sam shifted and placed a large hand on her shoulder. Her fear seemed to pass suddenly and smiled again at the wolf.
“No. We’re not trapped. But we are here. We’re exploring and finding new friends! Would you like to join us?”
“Nothing says autumn like slurpin’ apples.” -my uncle
I just realized, and this is so fun/interesting but I actually think Ridley would feel more comfortable with Madeleine compared to some of the other characters, because of her creepy/odd nature.
She’d remind him of some of the Cirquians, but mostly Cecily I think, and maybe even a bit of Jocelyn.
Oh, yeah, the two of them meeting up would be interesting. We should make it happen sometime! Maddie would probably like him too since he’s younger. He’s a teen, right?

I think I’ll have Erich be the one that runs into Erebus 😉
Name: Erich Elias Braun
Age: 23
Appearance: Blonde, wavy hair in a WWII waved quiff men’s hairstyle, pale skin, bright blue eyes. Wears an SS officer’s uniform and cap, which is pretty much black from head to toe, black shined jackboots, wears a silver wedding ring, and has a dagger and a Luger pistol on his right side.
Other: Full of attitude and sarcasm yet charm, Erich is an antagonist that is just morally gray with a broken moral compass that uses anger to often hide the fact that he’s actually really insecure deep inside and truly doesn’t know what he’s worth. He’s also out for revenge…but that’s a totally different story….that everyone can find out as time goes on XD A proposed Atheist, since he claims that he believes God doesn’t exist.

Erich
He was alone.
There were no usual sounds…no familiar voices…no life at all. He could hear himself breath.
“Why do I always have to get stuck in these situations?” He mumbled to himself, walking down the hall, his jackboots clicking against the stone floor. He removed his cap, slicked back his awry hair, and put it back on his head, adjusting it as needed.
“Just my luck, being stuck here.”
Maybe talking to himself wasn’t the best idea, but there was no one around…so hopefully no one else would find out and deem him crazy.
He’d already been through enough.
No, not those thoughts again.
Erich continued down the hall, walking towards two huge doors.
Likely leading into another hallway.
Well, he might as well find a way out.
The door was pushed open.
A tall man with light brown hair and wearing the oddest clothing Erich had ever seen stepped out, instantly holding the tip of a sword to Erich’s neck.
Erich smirked, one hand on his Luger pistol. “Isn’t someone flighty?”

Eclipse
Exploring. Finding new friends. Eclipse very much disliked that idea. He was much more likely to find a way out on his own… if there was one.
Unfortunately, Azar was ecstatic.
Eclipse! I say it’s my turn. You hate this stuff, anyway, right? He didn’t wait for a response. It would be perfect. If we ever get out, imagine what we could do! There must be more than just the three of us down here. You heard the screams.
Eclipse growled to himself, and Derek narrowed his eyes. Eclipse ignored him. If Azar wanted to deal with these humans, he could have them. Fine. Do what you want. But try not to get us killed.
Eclipse could feel Azar’s grin creeping across his own face. Fur and blood and bone became smoke, and his eyes blazed, orbs of fire. The humans watched, two frowning and the other smiling, as Azar’s voice came out of his mouth. “Joining you would be a pleasure.” If Eclipse had control of his eyes, he was sure they would be rolling right now. “You are only trapped if you believe yourself to be. I say we’re free.”
Madeline smiled at him. “See, Sam? Come on. This will be fun!”
The man said nothing. Derek still kept his hand on his gun. Azar chuckled. “I doubt you want to waste your bullets shooting at smoke.” He walked up beside the girl. “Lead the way.”
Follow your heart, but take your brain with you.

Derek scowled at the wolf who had now turned into a figure of smoke.
Odd…
Some kind of magic, maybe…?
He warily followed as Eclipse led the way through the dank castle. What if this anthropomorphic wolf and creepy little girl got him killed? Got them all killed? Who knew what was in the castle and who knew what his new “friends” would do if they were all in danger!
Derek eyed the three in front of him. He slowed down, considering turning back and leaving them. But… he reminded himself. They can always be used. If they might possibly use me, then why not prepare to use them?
A wry grin grew on his face.
“Derek?” Madeline’s high-pitched voice broke through his thoughts.
He hadn’t noticed he had stopped walking and looked down at her, startled. He replaced his wry grin with a sad attempt of a friendly smile. “Sorry. Just, uh… lost in my thoughts, that’s all.”
Madeline shrugged and turned around, continuing to walk. Derek took a small sigh as he followed. He finally, but reluctantly, let his hand hang by his side instead of resting on top of the gun holster.
His fingers itched to touch the gun again, just in case; but he convinced himself not to. If he was going to get out of here safely, he had better at least look somewhat approachable.

Erebus
“Isn’t someone flighty?”
Erebus eyed the young man smiling smugly at him. His hand rested on an intriguing item Erebus had never seen before. The way the man was grasping it made him think it was some sort of weapon. He tightened his grip on his sword and met the bright blue eyes calmly gazing back at him.
“I don’t know why you’ve brought me here but kindly show me the way out and I will let you go free and unharmed.” Another smirk began to form on the man’s lips.
“I’d gladly do that old fogey if I knew the way out myself. I’m trapped here as well” The man quickly whipped his weapon up. “And you’d be dead before your first blow fell.” Erebus couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped his lips.
“You have a stout heart, my friend.” The sword was lowered and put back into its sheath. “I respect that. My name is Erebus.”
“Erich” Came the tense reply. Erich hesitated, reading Erebus’ face, then slowly lowered his own weapon to his side. Erebus nodded his head towards the small, metal object.
“What sort of weapon is that?”
“My pistol?” Erich quieried.
“Pistol? I have never heard of weaponry by this title. It doesn’t look very dangerous. How does it kill?” Erich laughed, aiming the pistol at one of the doors to their left, then pulled the trigger.
BAM!
“If one of these bullets ripped through your skin you’d be dead in a matter of seconds.” Erebus’ mouth fell open in shock, much to the amusement of Erich.
“That is very… efficient.” Erebus glanced down at his sword and then laughed. “I think I’m going to want to remain on your good side, huh?”

Erich laughed, smirked, and nodded. “It’d be in your best interest.” he winked.
Erebus nodded. “I’m sure it would be.”
Erich nodded again. “If you want to stay alive, at least. Now, Erebus, any idea of which direction we should head?”

Rampart
Ridley shook his head.
Rampart hadn’t thought the human knew…but he wanted to make sure.
Something clattered down the hallway, making him turn around with a hiss.
His tail nearly scratched Ridley–again–but the human jumped out of the way at the last minute.
Seriously, did humans’ lack of tails mean they had no idea what to do around species that had them?
Although this room was rather small, so he supposed he couldn’t blame him.
As they stepped out, weapons at the ready (at least in Rampart’s case; Ridley had no visible weaponry on him), they saw several other creatures gathered together.
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
