Hello there. My name is Emily and I am a Christian young writer. My two favorite colors (at the moment, they change every time I start a new work-in-progress) are gray and green (which is one of those reasons I do not have a profile picture yet). I am an INFJ and 2w1, if that matters to anyone. My favorite genre to read and write in middle grade, typically contemporaries or fantasies… really I will read anything with a satisfying character arc.
How are you?

January 21, 2021 at 8:42 pm #89728@when-i-see-the-kingdom Hi Emily! Welcome to the Kingdom!
Gray and green are both really nice! I like them as well.
Do you have any favorite books or authors? Any movies? Can you tell me a bit about your WIP?
Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysJanuary 21, 2021 at 8:49 pm #89729Hi Emily! It’s great to have you here at Kingdom Pen! What are your favorite type of stories to write?
January 21, 2021 at 8:59 pm #89732*is trying to figure out how replies work*
@devastate-lasting Hi! Thank you!My favorite book right now is Love, Aubrey by Suzanne LaFleur. I am about to reread the Penderwicks series. I do not like movies, but out of the ones I have seen, WALL-E is cute. *smiles* *does not know where emojis are* It is a secret right now. I am working on launching a blog though.
@abigail-m Hi Abigail! Thank you. I like middle grade fiction, some of my favorite things (*not sure whether to call them tropes/themes/motifs*) are stories where the action is right off the bat, stories with nature in them, stories with a good character arc especially when the character learns how to let people in, and stories with poetry.share the journey
January 21, 2021 at 9:19 pm #89739@when-i-see-the-kingdom Ooh, nice. I’ve seen WALL-E maybe twice, three times before. It is a nice movie.
Oo, a blog! Be sure to share it if you’re comfortable with that; I’d love to see it!
Feel free to join us in our discussions around the forum!

Hii!! Great to see you around the Kingdom! As you can see, I’m Joy Caroline, but I also answer to JC, Joy, Caroline… whichever you wanna call me, haha.
I write Biblical fiction, but fantasy is so much fun to read! And congrats on launching a blog. I’ve had mine for about a month and two weeks now (around there, I’m bad at math), and it’s really a super fun and rewarding experience.
Some questions for you!
1. What’s your WIP about?
2. Any favorite music – songs, artists, bands…? I’m always looking for new faves!
3. Favorite food?
January 22, 2021 at 10:32 am #89764“Uh… greetings” back to you!! 😉 Welcome to KP!!!!!!!! I’m Ella, and here are a couple of things about me:
1) I LOVE basketball and smoothies
2) I prefer tea over coffee (unless it’s a caramel macchiato from Starbucks 😄)
3) I write fantasy and thriller/suspense YA fiction
This is my WIP synopsis:
Seia has lived in isolation her whole life. With an abusive mother, few friends, and no prospects, there is only one thing keeping Seia from running away: her sister, Sadana. Seia’s only wish is to escape with Sadana and find a new life of peace and safety in a far off land. But then the unthinkable happens: Sadana is engaged to one of the most powerful and dangerous men in the empire. Thrown into a world of adventure, Seia must navigate her way through new friendships, danger, mystery, and romance, all to save her sister before it is too late…
So ya.
Questions for you:
1) Do you like sports?
2) Do you prefer tea or coffee (or neither)?
2) What’s your favorite subject in school?
Well, I hope you have an AMAZING time on KP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Byee!!!! 😃😃😃

-gladiator, 2000January 22, 2021 at 12:01 pm #89773@when-i-see-the-kingdom Welcome to KP!! I’m an INFJ as well. 🙂 I’m a 4w5 though. Do you prefer MBTI or enneagram? Recently I’ve been reading a lot about the enneagram.
INFJ ~ 4w5
aldarley.wordpress.comJanuary 22, 2021 at 12:48 pm #89780HEEELLLLOOOO!!!!!!!! *waves* WELCOME to the Kingdom!!! It’s SUPER AWESOME to meet you!!! Aaah, I have such a hard time picking fav colors! I’m Issabelle, an ENFP aspiring YA fantasy writer who has more books I need to read than I know what to do with. 😂 And I saw you stated you were starting a blog, THAT IS SUPER AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! It’d be SOOO AWESOME to see you around the Blogosphere! I blog with two other gals at Teen Writers’ Nook, if you ever wanna check that out.
How ’bout some questions to get this AWESOME welcome party a going???
~What’s the most epic book title name you’ve ever heard?
~If you had to read one single book for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
~Would you rather have to write your next novel in a snowstorm or an isolated, burning hot desert?
~What genre do you think is the most hardest to write? Most confusing to read?
Welcome again!! *gives you cake*
God gives His hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.
TeenWritersNook.comJanuary 22, 2021 at 1:29 pm #89791Hi! Awesome to have you here in the kingdom!
Fantasy and contemporary are my favorite genres to write in as well!
And I’m right with you on the character arc stories. Characters are what make or break stories for me. Do you have a character that you like their character arc most?
January 22, 2021 at 7:32 pm #89855*blinks* That is a lot of replies!
I should mention that I am on a partial media detox, so I am not watching a lot of movies or listening to a lot of music right now.
@joy-caroline
Hi! Nice to meet you. Once my blog is fully launched I will be sure to follow you. *smiles* *still does not know how emojis work*
1. Is is a secret, sorry.
Plus, I am not sure how to describe it yet.2. I love bands with two singers, such as for KING & COUNTRY (Christian contemporary), They Might Be Giants (weird and random), The Gray Havens (Christian folk), and The Oh Hellos (Christian semi-allegorical folk).
3. Is ice cream a food? How about gummy worms? No? Then sourdough bread. *grins*
@nova-21
Hello, Ella! Thank you.
1) Basketball is awesome. I prefer milkshakes but smoothies are good too.
2) Same. (Starbucks is good occasionally, yes.) *smiles*
3) Neat!
How much progress have you made on that?
1) I like sports, though I have not been very athletic recently. I also like hiking and kayaking.
2) Tea, though hot chocolate and milkshakes are awesome.
3) I think I would go with history, as long as it is taught in an engaging way.
Thank you, I hope so too! *grins*
Thank you. Hello there. *grins* Someone told me they thought I would be a 4w5, but it turns out I am actually a 2w1. *shrugs* I prefer Myers-Briggs because I understand it more, but I have to admit I never researched the Enneagram a ton.
I am totally not surprised you are an ENFP! *grins* You sound just like my friend. Sweet! I shall check that out when I get into blogging.
~ Even though I have not read them yet, I love the titles for Andrew Peterson’s Wingfeather Saga. *admires*/*laughs*
~ The Bible. *smiles* Other than that it would have to be a really long book.
~ I have only been to the snow a few times, so I will choose the snowstorm.
~ The hardest genre is probably mystery, because you have to be a genius. The most confusing is nonfiction. (Apologies to any nonfiction writers.)
Thank you!
Hi! Lovely to meet you.
Ooh, have you read Ida B. by Katherine Hannigan? That is my favorite character arc right now. It is so good!

I forgot to mention I also love your username.
Thanks for answering my questions! Totally understand if your WIP is a secret. I’ve felt that way often myself! But you can still go to the WIP Chat forum and give advice on other WIPs.
Cool! I’ll have to check out your favorite music. They all sound like stuff I would totally be interested in.
Ugh, if only ice cream and gummy worms COULD count as a food. I’m doing this crazy challenge with a friend right now where we don’t eat sweets until we finish our drafts. So… yeah, I’m suffering. LOL.
Thanks for joining Kingdom Pen!
January 23, 2021 at 7:01 pm #89987Cool!! I love kayaking and hiking, too! And milkshakes. 😉 I agree, history is very interesting when taught engagingly.
