I’ve been thinking of including the Tree of Life in my story (named differently, but basically the same as the one in Genesis). However, I was wondering if non-Christians who read my book would think I am copying Tolkien’s White Tree of Minas Tirith.
Thoughts?

@warrioroftherealm I think as long as you have some clear differences from the white tree. I’d also question though why it has to be a tree. Trees are perfectly fine, but I’d personally choose the forbiden fruit symbol based on what fits best for my story world and style. It could be a gem in an underground cavern. It could be a magic icon. It could be marriage with an immortal. It could be opening the door to a secret room.

I agree with Daeus. And I don’t think people would draw too many parallels as long as it was different enough. 🙂
