It’s up to y’all but free roam would be fun. 🤷♀️
January 30, 2023 at 4:34 pm #130751Orielle
The dragon took her off guard. Normally, animals did not frighten her at all, but seeing a dragon this close was a little unnerving. Unconsciously, she reached in her cloak, feeling the arrows and bow slung on her back. Then, she noticed humans…some looked frightened. Others looked surprised. Should she greet them? Should she ask questions? Did they call her here? Why had the music stopped?
Undecided, Orielle pulled her cloak hood over her head and drifted into a dark corner to watch what would happen next.

January 30, 2023 at 4:37 pm #130752@keilah-h @sarafini Ok, free roam, if that’s what y’all want. 😉
He must increase, but I must decrease.
January 30, 2023 at 4:44 pm #130753@felicity Ok then! Unfortunately, my computer time is nearly up, and I promised my brother I’d show him something in Minecraft, so I can’t RP until tomorrow/next week/whenever we’ll do it.
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.

Our official time slot is over so whatever y’all do now is fine. 😉
January 30, 2023 at 4:53 pm #130756@sarafini I’m gonna add one last thing because i already had it written…
@keilah-h Ok! Have a great rest of your day!Jalene and Felicity entered the room and stared at the floor to ceiling shelves that stretched from one side of the huge room to the other. A sliding ladder was positioned at one end, its ornate rungs leading up into the shadows of a balcony that circled the ceiling.
“A library!” Felicity breathed in awe, tilting back her head. Her eyes flickered over the rows and rows of books that filled the shelves. “Look at all those books!”
Jalene sniffed slightly. “Look at all those creatures,” she said, jutting her chin towards a few figures at the other end of the room.
Felicity’s gaze dropped anxiously to rest on the group. “Hello?” she asked.
He must increase, but I must decrease.
January 30, 2023 at 8:22 pm #130784Okay, warning, I have a tendancy to write really long RPs so… sorry. And also sorry I’m late, but heres my RP!
PRIN
I rested my head into my hands, staring down at the unfinished math homework on my desk. Highschool had been fine so far, but with math… the numbers seemed to have a problem. Watever I had done to offend them I had no clue, they just didn’t seem to agree with how I equated them.
Glancing at the clock, I saw that it said 11:40. I shook my head and turned off my lamp. I’d try again tomorrow. Maybe.
My laptop was still open to a Kingdom Pen page, it was kind off strange, I didn’t recgonize the forum and it looked odd, almost like a library. I shrugged and I closed it before standing up. After brushing off my black leggings and adjusting my ‘The Book Was Better’ T-shirt, I padded down the hall quietly, not wanting to wake my siblings.
I rubbed tiredly at my eyes as I arrived at my door. Carefully setting my fingers on the handle and hoping the door wouldn’t squeak, I pulled it open.
And gaped. Beacuse on the other side of the door, was not my room.
“What the..?” I walked forward tentatively, brow furrowed in confusion.
The door slammed shut behind me.
ANWYN
Anwyn’s eyes blinked open to find harsh light surrounding her. She sat up and a cascade of strange shapes fell off of her. Anwyn scrambled away from the things on sore limbs. What kind of torture have they come up wth now? She thought, eyes frantically taking in the seen around her.
She was in a small corner with strange indented walls. They were filled with the flimsy looking objects like the ones that lay in a pile next to her.
It looked nothing like the cave that she had been trapped in for the past several months. Had her tormentors moved her? But why?
Shakily, Anwyn rose. She crept forward and peeked around the corner. Her pulse spiked as she saw figures talking further away.
Anwyn shrank back, watching quietly.
DANAND
His head hurt. Opening his eyes, Danand rubbed at his temple. Then he cocked his head and glanced curiously at his surroundings. A library? Hm. Had the Fullness led him somewhere new?
It wasn’t unusual for this to happen, but the architecture seemed different to most Alyuri structures he knew. What he could garner however, was that whoever owned this place was very wealthy. He stood from the chair he had been placed in and studied the ornate wood. Yes, wealthy indeed.
Danand paused. Did the Fullness want him to collect more people? Or was there an object that it wanted? Something they could sell for funds?
Either way it seemed fit to explore. He adjusted the red cuffs at his wrist and strode forward, following the sounds of voices.

And guess what? His is eternal (:January 30, 2023 at 9:28 pm #130798Don’t worry, my RPs get super long too. It’s not that I try to, it’s just so enjoyable – I’m guessing it’s the same for you? 😋 Also, thanks for the compliments!

January 30, 2023 at 9:31 pm #130800Yes! It’s just so fun! I really should dedicate this amount of writing to my actual books but… writing on KP is like you said, so enjoyable!
And your welcome! I’m excited to get to know your caracters better!

And guess what? His is eternal (:January 30, 2023 at 9:56 pm #130802Ok, so I know this is way after the due date but I had started it during the RP and had to take a bit of a break in the middle so I didn’t get the chance to finish until now.
Rythin:
Rythin silently crept down the book-lined hallway. Soon Rythin saw a light coming from a door at the end of the hallway. Shadows danced across the door light and voices crept through the wooden frame.
Rythin backed himself into a corner and sheathed his blade. He reached for a flask of Ziezhium from his coat as he prepared to face his kidnappers. He placed the flask on the floor and removed the lid. The pungent vapors of the Ziezhium wafted up from the flask. Rythin then unloosened the lacing of his shirt slightly so as to expose the abrasions of previous unhealed injections. Next, he took another flask, this one full of a translucent antiseptic, and poured a few drops onto the spot. As the cool liquid rolled over his skin Rythin was reminded of the scar that Myri had once gotten from an accidental infection. She had always been quite diligent in that he practiced proper hygiene. Rythin then removed his syringe from another coat pocket and took off the protective cap. He then filled the syringe with a medium dose of Ziezhium thinking that a full dose would probably be unnecessary since his captors didn’t even bother to take it from him. After recapping the flask he returned it to its place among the pockets before beginning his mental preparations. He went over the exercises Myri had taught him to silence his subconscious so that his mind was limited mostly to his main stream of thought. Then he injected the Ziezhium into his right shoulder among the other healing stabs.
The tired pressure of false exhaustion began to build in his head as he hurried to put the syringe back into its rightful place among the myriad of other objects stored in the coat. Rythin redrew his dagger in his left hand and with his right tested the handle. Surprisingly the door was unlocked.
Through Myri’s training, Rythin had learned to resist the alluring lie of bliss that the Ziezhium offered and to push it away from his mind. The power the Ziezhium offered would a normal man into a blissful sleep but Rythin had the training necessary to control it. He smiled slyly as he thrust open the door and strolled into the room with an air of confidence and purpose he had been diligently trained to uphold. He didn’t break composure as his now purple eyes surveyed the strange myriad of things in the room. With the aether flowing through his veins, he surveyed the strange assortment of people who were within the room. Some wore attire vaguely reminiscent of Naijin aristocrats while many others had loose-fitting shirts with strange symbols and words spread across them. There was a blond one who had strangely pointed ears and also a monstrous beast. There was one thing similar about all of them, however, the fact that they all seemed scared.
One of the girls whispered something to a boy who seemed naive and oblivious to the entire situation. Another who seemed quite anxious questioningly greeted the crowd.
As Rythin looked out over their faces it dawned on him that these people were also prisoners of whatever had brought them here. Rythin was annoyed as this probably meant he had used the Ziezhium for nothing. Well, why not gain some respect, thought Rythin as he began to use his enhanced aura to search for the consciouses of those standing before him. Most of them were easy for Rythin to establish a link to. Forming a few links at random Rythin began broadcasting a few complexly weighted thoughts across the room.
The thoughts conveyed feelings of trust. They conveyed feelings of ease. Myri had always told him that people are most inclined to believe what they want to hear.

that was so interesting to read!
So what is the Ziezhium exactly? The injection thing is very interesting, is this how they harness moon power? Or is this something else?

And guess what? His is eternal (:January 30, 2023 at 11:24 pm #130813You are correct in assuming that Ziezhium has to do with using the lunar power. I recently changed my magic system to where anyone with enough training can use the aether. There are basically these certain substances that are made using each of the different aether types that gives you powers for a period of time when injected. People have to specialise training for the different ones. If you are not well trained then it will basically make you fall asleep until the effects wear off. It can also kill you if you use too much and are not experienced enough in how to use that aether.
Ziezhium is the elixir for the Purple aether type which basically allows for one way telepathy (can only send thoughts/emotions).
Through darkness,
light shines brightestJanuary 31, 2023 at 10:58 am #130829That is fascinating! It puts a good limit on the ability but also makes it accesible to anyone if they are dedicated, I love it!
So this is the telepathy color, and you kind of wrote some of that and how he’s sending them those feelings. I really like how you used that, and how you wrote him.
I’m wondering if he would be able to communicate to Anwyn. Because she can’t speak verbally. In my world theres this thing called the Silence, which is actually just direct communication mentally through Ether. Overtime humans lost this ability because, everyone could understand them and they wanted more private interactions. So they developed languages. But obviously it was easier for my water races to continue speaking in this way.
So poor Anwyn has no idea why land people talk with their mouths and no one can understand her. I think that Rythin would be able to send stuff over to her mind, but she still won’t be able to respond probably because I’m assuming he can’t read minds? And she can’t project to anyone who doesn’t know how to communicate through the Silence. Hmm
Oh well, either way, your worldbuilding is very interesting to learn about!

And guess what? His is eternal (:January 31, 2023 at 11:34 am #130833Yes. Rythin would be able to send thoughts or emotions to Anwyn but would be unable to receive them.
Anwyn not being able to verbally communicate with most of our characters will definitely be interesting. The whole Silence thing is definitely intriguing. I have always liked forgotten lore-type things in fantasies.

Yes! I’m hoping this will help me with writing her. So far it’s been kind of difficult because she has such a limited knowledge of what’s around her, so I’ve been struggling with how she would describe things in way’s that still make sense.
