Elizabeth, Kyle and Joe
The 3 walked into a library, “Where is Alec?” Kyle mumbled to himself. He stared over at Elizabeth and Joe. “Who are you?”
“Um, I’m your author. I brought you and Joe in to explore this library.”
“Where’s Alec?”
“Safe at Paradise City.” The 3 walked over to a seat and suddenly the door slammed shut. Kyle’s anxiety skyrocketed. He grabbed Elizabeth while Joe ran to check the door. He came back shaking his head, “It’s no good. We’re trapped.”January 30, 2023 at 3:49 pm #130730@keilah-h sorry I just thought since you had some chores to do…. I can be last if you want

January 30, 2023 at 3:51 pm #130733@felicity I’m finished, but I’ll still go last–it gives me time to work on some other stuff on the computer.

January 30, 2023 at 3:55 pm #130735Orielle
She paused in her solemn musings. Something sweet, something delightful had entered her ears and was calling to her. The birds stopped singing to listen and the trees clapped their leaves together in applause. Stringed instruments mixed with the soft plucking of harps carried on the breeze, beckoning the wandering elf to see for herself what was calling to her. Stepping into a clearing, Orielle’s keen gaze fell upon a stately building. The architecture was unlike anything she had seen before. Quietly, cautiously, she approached one of the doors. A tree had been carved into the oaken boards. Orielle reached out, grasped the knob, and turned it. She entered the room. It was dimly lit and smelled of old books. Suddenly, the door was ripped from her hand, shutting violently. Breathing hard, the elf tried to open the door again, but it did not move. Then, she heard voices.

January 30, 2023 at 3:57 pm #130736Rythin awoke to the feeling of a stiff crick in his neck. The cold floor upon which he lay meshed with the childhood feeling of a cold cobbled road. Rythin had always preferred sleeping on dirt roads.
He slowly opened one eye just enough for him to see his surroundings for signs of others. Yet the old library was quiet. At least Rythin suspected it to be a library based upon the numerous books organized in mishappen rows that seemed to stretch on eternally throughout his vision.
Rythin didn’t know how he had ended up in this mysterious place but he certainly intended to find out. It struck him as unlikely to be the mechanization of someone within the Xiev.
As Rythin stood he checked his pockets. Strange, he thought, whoever did this is certainly an idiot.
Rythin drew a dagger and began to creep silently down the book-lined halls. Myri would have approved of this decision. She had always told him to remain calm in all situations.
Through darkness,

It’s flame hissed and went out, drenching her vision in darkness.
Her feet hit solid ground, and the earth stilled around her, leaving her dizzy. She peered through the dim light and reached out to steady herself against the wall. It felt hard and gritty under her fingers.
“Hello?” she called hesitantly, taking a step forward.
“Who are you?”
Felicity stared at the lithe form that swayed in front of her. “Jalene!” she exclaimed. “What are you doing here?”
“You tell me,” the woman shrugged, throwing back the cowl that hid her face.
Felicity took a deep breath. “Oh come on. It looks like there’s a larger room over here.”
They heard voices and stepped in together.

January 30, 2023 at 4:08 pm #130739So I’m assuming i don’t have to tag everyone? Since no one else is doing it.
I’ll start. Do you mind if I put Jaye’s POV in first person? Howzer’s would be in third.

January 30, 2023 at 4:08 pm #130740@keilah-h Yeah you don’t have to tag everybody every time.
Go ahead! Whatever works!

Don’t worry about tags. Do whatever. I don’t care. That seems to be what everyone else is doing. I might change mine to 1st person too. 🤷♀️

Where am I? I thought as I surveyed the surroundings.
Books. Books upon books upon books.
What is this, library heaven?
A crash and a yelp interrupted my thoughts. I rounded a corner to see a character, trapped under a pile of books and an overturned bookshelf.
“Howzer!” I shouted, partially because I was surprised a character from my stories was….well….alive, and partially because I was slightly annoyed with him for knocking over the books.
“Oh, hello.” The dragon wriggled, managing to free his tail from the books. “I see these shelves don’t support my weight. What even are these?” He held one up by one corner and stared at it, like he was expecting it to do something.
I felt a bit like whacking him. “They’re books. They’re what people used to get knowledge from before dragons and humans became technology-obsessed.”
“Ah. Books.” Howzer rubbed his forehead with one hand-talon-something. “Old knowledge hurts.”
I rolled my eyes.

Elizabeth
I gripped Kyle’s hand while watching several people come into the room. Kyle completely went into shock, zoning out. After a minute he put his head on my knee. I saw an elf, 3 girls, a dragon and a guy walk in. When I saw the dragon and that the guy had a dagger, a lump rose up in my throat. It’s not like Joe could help me. We were all unarmed. My eyes widened and I dragged Kyle around the corner of a shelf. “We’re going to play hide and seek.” I whispered grinning at Kyle trying to mask my fear. Joe had followed us. “What in the world is hide and seek.” He was not trying to keep his voice down. I shushed him and peaked through the shelves to see the guy staring back at me.
January 30, 2023 at 4:26 pm #130745So we still have turns or is it free roam now, and we can just respond to each other’s RP’s?
