It’s literally been a whole month since anyone was on here!!! I’m going to presume it’s ok if I RP randomly. I miss this topic and want to revive it!
Jalene
I watched as the girl next to me exclaimed, “Are you cosplaying as someone too? Because I’d love to know this character.”
Instantly I bristled. Was she trying to say that I was just a character? No, no one would think I was inferior to reality, not with my sparking eyes. Not wanting to sound ignorant, I quickly tried to think what else ‘cosplaying’ could mean. But before I could answer, the girl smiled brightly as if something had dawned on her. “Wait, is this a book convention?”
I cleared my throat, and crossed my arms over my red dress. “Ahem, a what now? Cosplaying convention?” I glanced warily at the other beings (some human and some other) who were scattered in groups around the shadowy library, keeping my eye particularly keen on a man wearing a red vest who was slipping into the open. “I don’t suppose you know that this is a library? You got the book part right, at least. Oh and by the way, I’m Sergeant Major Tinsmore. The first name is Jalene, but I prefer being called Sergeant Major, since I did work hard to get the title. What about you?”
I whirled, just as the vested man came up behind me, his lips curved into a charming smile. “Why hello there,” he said, gesturing politely. His gaze encompassed the whole group.
My skin prickled. There was something about him that was more than just the charcoal grey shirt and crimson vest. Something dark and sinister about the way his hair shadowed his face. I stepped forward, returning his charming smile with one of my own. “Greetings, mysterious one. From whence do you come?”

March 28, 2023 at 4:33 pm #138711Good idea! I read the roleplays to my little sister, and she’s been getting impatient actually XD

March 28, 2023 at 4:46 pm #138714Aw that’s sweet! For her sake, we must resume! 😉
Love your pfp by the way! Is it one of your characters?

March 28, 2023 at 5:35 pm #138716Yeah the library faded into the background for a while,😅 but yes I’m excited to keep it going!!
Oh that’s awesome! We must apologize for keeping her waiting XD
PRIN
“Wait, is this a book convention?” I asked.
In response Steel Boots crossed her arms and cleared her throught before saying, “Ahem, a what now? Cosplaying convention?” She looked away, continuing before I could respond. “I don’t suppose you know that this is a library? You got the book part right, at least. Oh and by the way, I’m Sergeant Major Tinsmore. The first name is Jalene, but I prefer being called Sergeant Major, since I did work hard to get the title. What about you?”
I blinked at the onslaught of information, and opened my mouth before noticing a shaded figure stepping out into the room. Jalene, or Sergeant Major, turned a quick heel towards him just as he spoke. “Well hello there.” He had a polite yet chilling tone and I peered at him more closely. He looked familiar…
Then Sergeant Steel Boots moved in front of him, abscuring my view. Oh well. “Greetings, mysterious one. From whence do you come?” She said to the man.
The woman shifted and I finally got a full view of the man. My eyes widened as I realized who he was.
DANAND
He smiled back at the woman who had approached him. He gave her a quick once over. She wore a sleek red dress and metal shoes, her confident posture and overall air complimenting the outfit well. Danand would have to be cautious with this one.
He tilted his head, then opened his mouth to answer her question. “There are many places I have called home.” He leaned an inch closer with a small smile. “Yet if you are inquiring as to the details of my birth and upbringing, I’m afraid I cannot divulge.” He straightened. “Such would puncture my air of… mystery, as you say.”
His eyes caught sight of a shuffling nearby over the woman’s shoulder and he took a brief glance, eyes widening slightly at seeing a familiar girl. What was Anwyn doing here? How had she escaped?
Danand now understood why the Fullness had brought him here. His eyes turned calculating as he looked back at the woman, smothering his surprise. “But if you don’t mind my asking, I would love to know where a stunning creature such as yourself hails from.”

Indeed, she shall be pleased at our return!
To Felicity: This is George! Actually, if you’ve seen my previous pfp, he’s from the same story. It’s called Lockwood & Co. by Jonathan Stroud. It’s about a bunch of teens fighting ghosts in London, with rapiers, and tea an’ scones an’ donuts-from-the-shop-down-the-road. I definitely recommend it, unless you get unsettled easily by death, gore, swordfighting. The characters get injured a lot.

“Everything is a mountain”
March 29, 2023 at 11:53 am #138772Wow, that book sounds epic! I should check it out. Even though I’m not too keen on the ghost part…you know…is it horror or are the ghosts like fairy tale ghosts?
So where’s Shiloh at? Is she nearby cause Felicity (me 😉 ) is up in the balcony and I could come down and meet her if you want?
JALENE (or Sergeant Major or Sergeant Steel Boots) {I actually really like the latter and might use it in my story. Thanks for the inspo!!!}
I help myself regally as the red vested man’s eyes swept over me. “There are many places I have called home.” He replied smoothly. “Yet if you are inquiring as to the details of my birth and upbringing, I’m afraid I cannot divulge. Such would puncture my air of… mystery, as you say.”
Indignant at finding him as proud as myself, I narrowed my gaze. He shifted and glanced behind me, his eyes widening the tiniest bit. Was it surprise? Fear?
He resumed his polite expression quickly, adding a winning smile to his features. “If you don’t mind my asking, I would love to know where a stunning creature such as yourself hails from.”
The prick of pleasure from his compliment was stilled with the word ‘creature’. Why do these beings keep calling me a character, a creature? It grated on my nerves. The man was watching me closely, and I forced a half hearted laugh. “You are unspeakably kind, sir,” I said, my voice tinged with sarcasm. “I hail from the land of Grandinwash, specifically the Tenebrous City, where I serve as Sergeant Major. And your name is…?”

March 29, 2023 at 3:03 pm #138782@felicity @whalekeeper @princesachronicle22 Yeah, we should get this going! I don’t know where to start from though. Anyone remember?
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
March 29, 2023 at 3:35 pm #138795I think this is the last thing you posted about Howzer:
Howzer
The human was trying to touch him.
No!
He crouched still lower and backed away a step or two, hissing. He couldn’t speak their language, nor they his, but he’d found that a well-placed snarl worked fine to get his point across sometimes.
“Don’t touch me.” he growled. He looked toward his human friend. “Um, Jaye? Little help over here.”
Hopefully that helps!

March 29, 2023 at 5:42 pm #138827XD I love Ninjago, used to watch that show all the time

And guess what? His is eternal (:March 29, 2023 at 7:20 pm #138836It’s definitely leaning more towards horror; like ‘The Case of the Bloody Footprints,’ ‘The Case of the Man-Eating Rats,’ ‘The Case of the Skull in the Jar,’ that sort of thing. Those aren’t the actual names of the cases, but you get the idea.
It’s not… too graphic? A lot of the violence is hearsay, since it’s ghosts they’re dealing with. Idk, you could call it dark, but a lot of it is warm and cozy vibes. It doesn’t laud the dark stuff. The ghosts are definitely villainous.
Unless you count the Skull, because he is the best comic relief ever XD
So, ya know. If you’re not into that stuff, at least I was able to inform you.
Regarding Shiloh. She was in the Friday group, so not on the balcony. But I might break off eventually.
Idk… Maybe I’ll send Sebastian your way in a little bit.
YUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSS
Ninjago was my childhood. I’m such a geek.

March 30, 2023 at 4:28 pm #138857Coolio, I’ll write his POV in a minute
Do be aware, he’s not… the nicest kid. He’s not going to like any character right off the bat, unless they look like a strong role model/royalcore/hilarious troublemaker. So keep that in mind. He’s very pessimistic.

March 30, 2023 at 4:54 pm #138859Sebastian
With that out of his system, Seb found himself sitting on the cold marble floor, in the fetal position. After a good few minutes of grumblings and sharp, angry sniffs, he stood up.
The passageway was still gray and motionless. But there might be others.
In fact, soft, fluttering echoes brushed the cobwebs on the curtains. These echoes brushed around Seb as well, seeming to sweep his hair behind his ears. They were of voices, laughter, and a nearly imperceptible growl – which he figured to be the library itself, as much as anything else.
Should he follow them? Into what he was sure would be chaos, both colorful and climactic? Or should he sit here and complain, to no one in particular?
Both options sounded equally entertaining. But he might as well make a lasting impression.
Sebastian ticked his chin up a notch, brushing back his glossy golden bangs. He also cocked his top hat in a jaunty angle – and stepped forward confidently, his black suit blotting the scene like a piece of velvet in a candle-lit room.
Time to look roguishly handsome. For a ten-year-old child, that is.

March 30, 2023 at 6:02 pm #138862@whalekeeper LOL, I have a couple charries like that, but not here.
Jaye
Howzer’s growl alerted me. “Um, Jaye? Little help over here.”
“Sorry,” I said to the other characters. “My dragon’s calling me.”
“What is it?” I asked.
“There was a human trying to touch me.” he hissed. “They’re gone now.”
“Hmm.” I said. “Well, you need to stop being so afraid of being touched.”
“I’m sorry.” He folded his wings in and straightened to his full four-legged height.
[some backstory: Howzer is a rescued dragon. He was mistreated by other dragons and by humans before, so he’s wary of most unfamiliar people.]
A boy–younger than my brother–stepped out of the shadows. He wore clothing a little too fancy for his age, in my opinion. Howzer, startled but knowing a child couldn’t do much harm, hissed and stepped up in front of me.
