PRIN
A confused grin stretched across my face. “What the heck?” I said aloud. I was in a library. Not just any, but a big library.
This is fantastic! My brain shouted enthuisiastically.
But then I turned back, and out of curiousity, pushed on the door I had come in. After it swung open I was met with a dim hallway filled with more books. I fet a sharp prick of apprehension. Where was my house? Would I be able to go back?
I shut the door and reopened it to see that the hall changed. What the? If my chest hadn’t started to get so tight I would’ve though that it was cool, but as the door kept changing to any library room other than the one I had entered through, I grew more frantic
Deep lines etched my face as I studied every inch of the door. I wasn’t trapped, was I?
But then a sense of calm found me, along with a sort of… respect and awe, towards… someone. I looked around in confusion.
Just then the bookshelf to my right jostled and books flew from the shelves. I cried out as a giant scaly tail slashed through a gap. “Oh my snickerdoodle!” The shelve collapsed and I scrambled back. A group of strangers stood in a the room behind it, talking to a… dragon. An actual dragon. I had to crane my head back just to see the back of its head.
Dizziness coated my vision. Then I fainted.
ANWYN.
The people were talking. Anwyn was surprised to realize that she could actually understand what they were saying! Land walkers had never made sense to her before. Always speaking in harsh words through their eating holes. The disgusting creatures made no sense.
Still hiding behind the dusty wall of indented rectangles, Anwyn wasn’t sure what to do.
But then a purplish haze touched her mind. It brought with it the presence of both authority and security. She blinked and tried to make it go away, but the sensation didn’t leave enough to make her uncurious about where it had come from.
She sought it out, but there were too many dim corners, for her to properly make out much other than the people and the large beast to the side. But she didn’t think it was coming from any of them.
Anwyn didn’t know it had drawn her forward until the group was staring at her.

Jaye
“Is he yours?” asked one of the girls. “And…can you understand what he’s saying…I mean, growling?”
I nodded.
Another girl walked up to me.
“I don’t know your name,” she began, “but is this dragon yours?”
“Yes,” I replied. “Oh, and my name is Jaye.”
“I’m pleased to meet you. I am Orielle. Does your dragon have the ability to produce light in any way?” she asked.
“He can’t breathe fire, if that’s what you’re asking.” I told her. “He is an ice-breather from the northern edge of my world…..But he can create a pale blue glow out of his mouth.”
Howzer
Touch one hand to your forehead if you are more than just a mindless beast, came a voice.
Not Jaye’s. Male.
Howzer raised one hand–a foot-long, clawed version of a human’s–and raised it so that it just brushed his forehead, confused.
Who are you? he thought, wondering if this mind-speaker could listen.
Another creature stepped out into the light. Not human. Not a fellow dragon. Not the mind-speaker–this creature was female. But it was something.
He crouched down to make himself as short as possible and studied it.
(He’s probably still four or five feet even when crouching.)
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.

Both of your Rp’s were fun to read.

Lesli
“Explore this library, of course!”
I rub my hands together excitedly, ready to take off into a grand adventure. I would rather be doing this with–
–oh nevermind. I’ve got plenty of new people to meet here.
Cut off by a piercing scream, I look to my left.
“What was that?”
Are they ok?! I run around the corner in search of the creature that made such a noise.

February 10, 2023 at 3:43 pm #132543Yep!!
I’m going to go ahead and write the first RP continuing where we left off while we wait for the others. I’m also gonna throw in a villain right now before things get too slow.
“So… y’all want explore this place?” I ask.
Everyone heartily agrees. I lead the way through the rows of bookshelves and down a staircase. The staircase leads to an even bigger floor of the library. I grin. “Guys… this is awesome! I could literally live here.”
As soon as I finish talking, I hear footsteps approaching from the left of the library. Out of the bookshelves emerges a shadowy figure. He is dressed is black boots, dark pants, and a crisp unbuttoned silver suit coat over a light colored shirt. He raises an eyebrow at our group. “Who are you?” He pauses, waiting for an answer.
I gasp when I see him. There’s no way! “Derek Len?”
He raises his eyebrows, flustered. “That’s my name. I don’t think it’s yours.”
My eyes are wide as I say, “I’m your author.”
Derek furrows his brow. “I’m not character in a book. I am a real person.”
I try to suppress my smile. “Hate to break it to you, but your actions are confined to my wishes.”
He smirks. “You sure? Stop me from taking two steps.”
Not quite sure how to do that, I close my eyes and imagine him in place. When I open my eyes, he takes two steps closer.
I gulp. This is not good. “Well… maybe not in this library…”
