Today I read a couple more chapters into A Long Way Gone. It’s certainly a lot heavier than I expected. I don’t know what to think yet, except my heart is just breaking over what the author and so many had to go through.

I just read the first two chapters of A Trip Into the Supernatural by Roger J. Morneau. It’s about a man who was lured into demon-worship and became a Satanist, but God rescued him from it and brought him into saving grace. A friend recommended this book to me and those first chapters were JUST. CHILLING. It started off with a conversation Morneau had with a demon, which ended with the demon laughing creepily and slamming out of his room. *shiver*
But yeah, I would recommend it so far! It seems like such a great book. Some similar books I love are The Autobiography of John G. Paton, which is about Paton’s missionary work among cannibals. And The Life and Diary of David Brainerd, which is about Brainerd’s missionary work among pagan Native Americans. I definitely think everyone should give those books a read!

Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know

April 2, 2021 at 6:20 pm #96663Yes, I love them!!! I haven’t read them in a while, but I’m pretty sure they’re all as good as the first one.
