WATI! I DO have advice! Don’t make the snippets about your life seem like an old lady’s facebook page. For example:

Well, I took out the laundry today, and as I went down the porch steps to hang it on the line, I stubbed my toe!! Ouch! It really hurt.

Not that I think you’d do this, but I just have to say it. The fact of the matter is, if you want to attract people outside your circle of friends, you have to be more engaging than “I saw a butterfly today”. Basically, the rules of writing still apply, even when it’s about your own life. If it’s written well, it’s more interesting.

*ahem* So that’s already super obvious. Moving on.

The other thing is that when you first start a blog, it’s new and exciting and you’re totally pumped to go. But the sad fact of the matter is, the longer you go, the less fun it becomes and more chore-like it can seem sometimes. I would recommend planning out what you’re going to post at the beginning of every month, instead of doing what I did, and waiting til the day before for the magical writing inspiration to strike. That way, you have a loose guideline of what to write about, instead of just winging it, but you still have the flexibility of doing what you want if that lovely inspiration does take hold. Savvy?

@That_writer_Girl_99 What everyone else said. XD

I honestly don’t have much to offer you, though I would suggest starting off small, say one post a week when you first launch your blog. It takes more effort than what you first think to post stuff, so take it easy at first.

Good luck and may the force be with you as you embark on this new journey!
