Hey, guys.
So, I’m here, and I’m supposed to say hello.
Hello.*waves*
I’m not actually a sailboat, as my picture shows (though that would be cool).
I’ve been writing for a few years now and have found this site really helpful and fun.
I have a lot of questions for discussion on here filed away in my brain.
And my favorite books and movies are very little known of. So if anyone on here has read The Peleg Chronicles or watched the A&E Horatio Hornblower, please let me know. 🙂
Well, later.August 25, 2015 at 11:20 pm #4977*waves back* I’m not a violin, either. 😀
Fire a question!
I almost watched that HH, but I forget why on earth we didn’t. I think we accidentally got the wrong movie, or something like that. 😛
August 26, 2015 at 1:56 pm #5015Hello Rosey! Lemme just say really quick that I really like your last name. It sounds… like Dickens or something.
I have watched the A&E Horatio Hornblower, and yes, I love it! Actually, the movie (don’t read the books, they’re nothing special) has a special place in my heart for more than itself. The first time I watched that with my parents, I was inspired to write as I had never been before. So I sat down and wrote my first complete novel up to that point. And then I couldn’t stop. So… HH is special because it played a very major role in getting me to where I am as a writer today. Which could still stand for improvement… but hey. All good things take time.
So glad to welcome you to the forum!August 26, 2015 at 2:04 pm #5017I LOVE Horatio Hornblower! Watched them many times! ^_^
Oh, and welcome to the forum! Please feel free to post your questions!

Thanks! It’s actually an english/welsh town we come from, so Dickens-sounding makes sense. 😉Okay, this is officially awesome. I’ve found 2 HH fans where I expected to find 0. *tries not to get to excited* It’s up to you guys to get all my references now… maybe I’ll have to put up my fanfic. 😛
August 26, 2015 at 7:56 pm #5061I’ll be on the lookout for references, and explain them to the unenlightened in the audience so you don’t have to. 😀 It’s never good to have to explain your own jokes, is it? 😀 😛
Yes, I can definitely see how your name could be either English or Welsh. Pardon me for pointing it out— I have a fascination with names and their origins that nothing can squash, and ‘Mucklestone’ was too good to pass without remark. You know, this may have absolutely nothing to do with it, but ‘muckle’ is old Scottish slang for large, or huge, and stone is… well… stone. Isn’t that neat?August 26, 2015 at 8:05 pm #5063Haha, definitely. Thanks! 😉
Huh, cool! That’s really neat! and now I’ve published books under the Mucklestone name, so even when I get married I can keep my name in the publishing world! 😛
August 26, 2015 at 10:44 pm #5079By the way, Rosey, I’ve really enjoyed reading your short stories. You offer some really fun perspectives on things. 🙂
August 27, 2015 at 10:14 am #5086Thanks, Dani! I really liked writing those. 🙂
August 27, 2015 at 10:31 pm #5138Hi Rosey! Wow you’re published! That’s awesome!
What’s the title (or titles) of your published work?https://rolenahatfield.com/
August 28, 2015 at 10:27 am #5151Well, I have the two stories on here:
And then I have three books on lulu.com. Odd Team Out, a sci-fi much loved by my siblings and much in need of a rewrite. Amazing Honesty, my OYAN novel. And Tales of Faith my short story collection.
And I’m working on a sequel to Odd Team Out. 🙂 -
