March 11, 2017 at 10:24 pm #27668@daeus Thank you! π I actually made some comments on your comments (and changed some stuff based on them) and I’d appreciate it, if you can, if you could have a quick look at those as well π

March 16, 2017 at 3:38 am #27984So, excitement!
I just submitted my story to the Home Life contest and am currently waiting for a reply from the Bunyan contest people due to *ahem* technical difficulties (i.e. I put my email address in wrong D: )
So as soon as that can be fixed, the second story will entered as well π
Thanks for everyone’s tips and support! Thanks you, Daeus for proofreading one of the stories π I’ll keep you guys updated as I hear about things π

March 17, 2017 at 8:40 pm #28133@PerfectFifths Oh dear, the Hom Life one especially isn’t very soon. π If I read that correctly—July.
March 17, 2017 at 8:46 pm #28136@emma-flournoy Yee-ap! But I’m not constantly thinking about it/stressing over it/being super excited now that they’re submitted, so I think I can relax for the time being π

March 17, 2017 at 9:04 pm #28137@PerfectFifths π Have a good relaxing wait.
April 3, 2017 at 9:01 pm #29316Well, it’s well and truly past April 1st (no joke! π ) so the Bunyan contest is closed. I should be hearing in the next 2-3 weeks if I win or not π
I received my copy of Bond’s book War in the Wasteland, which I had forgotten was part of perks of entering until it arrived. My dad is currently reading it, because it’s a about WWI and he likes stories like that. So far, I think he’s enjoying it π

April 3, 2017 at 9:09 pm #29321@perfectfifths Good luck!
I must have missed this discussion, but what is War in the Wasteland?β β β ENFP β β β
April 3, 2017 at 9:15 pm #29323@dragon-snapper I never mentioned it, because, like I said, I forgot about it π
It’s a book written by Douglas Bond, who is an author who is very involved in the contest each year. I don’t know if he runs it, but he gives a video master class when you enter before a certain date (I didn’t enter in time for the live class, but there is a video)
Some of the things you get upon entering the contest are a coupon code for the YA titles in their store, and a copy (I don’t want to say free copy, because it was a $20 fee to enter) of War in the Wasteland, which was written by Bond, and is set in World War I.
