      Okay, I know the topic name is a strange one, but really, what terrible things have you or a sibling done when you were little? Or even somewhat plausible made-up things. I’m kind of on a time crunch, so help!!! (Please 🙂 ) Preferably, they should be funny when you look back at it. (Yes, this does have something to do with my writing.) Thanks! @dragon-snapper, @bluejay @kate-flournoy @emma-flournoy @ingridrd @hope @daeus @clairec @Everybody!

        @jess

        My older brother and I once started pulling knives on each other and almost stabbed each other. Okay, that’s not funny. And someone could’ve gotten seriously hurt.

        Some ideas are them destroying something that you worked really hard on (like a novel). My little bro once told someone I really liked some horrible things about me. Basically, slander and vandalism.

          @Jess

          Most interesting. 😛

          Well…I once told my little sister with black hair in @Kate-Flournoy ‘s hearing that she was the cutest girl with black hair I’d ever seen, just to make Kate sad (as Kate has black hair). That was many years ago, and it’s only funny in retrospect because Kate and I are such great friends now. 😀
          I know, terrible.
          Did you specifically mean, terrible things done to other siblings, not just terrible things in general?

            Emma that’s what I was going to say! 😛 Unfortunately my dark hair used to be a tender subject for me @Jess as I’m the only one in the family (besides aforementioned black-haired little sister, whose is really more dark brown than black) to have it. Thank goodness I’ve grown out of that. 😛

            Um… hm… what else??? Let’s see… I remember several instances where one or two siblings took precious projects (drawings, usually) and crumpled them up and stuffed them in a corner, but that’s about the worst I can think of.

              @jess Well, it depends what you mean by terrible. I had a brother drop his spoon in the dirt, then lick it off to get it clean.

              I had another brother who cut a branch half way off a tree, then tied a rope to said branch, tied the other end to his bike, and rode as hard as he could. The rope jerked tight, throwing him off his bike, and then he kept trying it until he actually got hurt when he fell. Dad eventually took a saw and cut the branch all the way down.

                I cut my brother’s hair once when I was only three, doing it with plastic scissors. It ended up being so bad that my mom had to take him to the barber.

                  This didn’t happen in my own family, but there was one brother who pulled out a razor and informed his younger brother that it was ‘for getting the hair mom missed’ and then proceeded to cut out chunks of hair. And the family didn’t figure out until the next day…Sunday.

                    Okay, I laughed reading these! Especially @hope and @daeus 😀 Thanks everybody! @mark-kamibaya @emma-flournoy @kate-flournoy (looking back it might have been dangerous to tag the siblings… (Whoops) I think I have it now! (It’s all for a short story where one good kid is trying to get coal for Christmas because their family doesn’t have enough. They then try to do “bad” things until Christmas… But as Santa isn’t real, I have a small twist 🙂 ) and this was for school, so there was a time crunch 🙂

                      That sounds like a funny story, @Jess.
                      Good luck. 😀

                        Oh, I’m glad @jess. It almost consoles me for Emma’s degradation of dark hair.

                          That does sound quite funny, @Jess. Good luck. 🙂
                          And yes, never underestimate the damage a pair of scissors can do in the hands of a child. Once one of my sisters trimmed her eyelashes. 😛

                          Hahaha @Daeus actually her degradation was against me, not against dark hair. She was complimenting the younger sibling on being the nicest dark-haired person she knew so I would hear and be upset that I wasn’t the nicest dark-haired person she knew. XD

                          whew, thank goodness we’ve moved on. 😛

                            @kate-flournoy Oh really? I never would have guessed.

                            Speaking of which, I just chastised Harold for an impertinent remark on that count. I’m holding you personally responsible for reforming him.

                              *shakes head* yes, I know… LISTEN UP HAROLD DO YOU HEAR THAT???!! Hm… actually I have a feeling he’ll not mind dark hair by the end of the book. *mysterious smile*

                                Give him my warm regards. I’ll have to start shopping for a card fitting for the occasion. What type of present do you think he’d like?
