I write a very wide variety of things.My dystopian stuff is me being a conspiracy theorist.
This one is about a young farmer living in a country that faced Civil War plus a 3rd Word War. The country was split in half and the East in uninhabitable and forbidden, and the West is under dictatorship. The idea of family has been destroyed, and Marriage is forbidden. And so is anything that has to do with marriage/romance. Books, movies, pictures, toys, games, etc. etc. So now the government has a lottery and selects women to artificially birth the next generation, and then these children are placed in a home with one or more 21+ “Fellow Occupant.” (did I mention the Bible has been banned as well?)
So yeah, not a good situation.
Ethan grew up in the home of the last couple to ever be married in their country. They were supposed to get divorced after the law passed, but the wedding was a secret one so no one knew they were married. Anyhow, the couple raised him and his brother Jonas (the boys are not related top each other or their parents) to call them father and mother and top value family the way God designed it.
Now Ethan wants to get married.
You can probably see where this is going……………
