Yeah… lol XD. This is the second draft and it’s ending up pretty different from the first draft. (Same plot points, different means of getting there, if that makes sense.) I really like it, but it’s definitely introducing danger to the group much sooner than I anticipated. It’s a good thing though. ???

When I was eight or so, my parents got me a little book of prompts and a notebook that had a section to draw pictures in. I wrote a little story about an electric eel called Tesla, and a sequel about him making friends with a talking helicopter called Blade.
Several months or maybe a year later, I wrote my first Star Wars fanfiction. It was short and didn’t have much plot; it was about characters from the films renting a boat and traveling on a planet.
Then my stories took off.
Most of them were copies of some book or movie I liked but with characters from somewhere else. But from there, I created more and more stories. My first published original creation was called Rexy the T. Rex. I wrote and published it when I was twelve, and now I have six books in the Rexy series with four more in various stages of development.

Saaame! I absolutely detested writing until about 4 years ago. I tried a new writing curriculum at a co-op which took you from simple sentences to essays explaining things along the way. It included some Grammar (which I now love) rules and such but it was fun! I even got to write a few fables. I should see if I have those. Maybe post them on here. Warning: they may be cringey but I was 12-14 when writing them. ??

I had a similar book (I wonder if we had the same one… ?) that I wrote between 8 and now. Huh, I never thought of it as writing. If you told me that 4+ years ago, it would be in the garbage rn. ? I think I might still have it. It’s definitely writing now that I think about it but wow. Mind-blown away! ? It takes a lot for me to get to that point. Lol. Good job. ?

@sarafini Thanks! I did a writing class once too. Curiously, I didn’t like it as much I thought I might, but I rewrote a section of The Odyssey using my own characters, and it was really fun!
