Yeah, the Castle is actually really cool. My logical brain pesters me about the contradictions, and how the lore doesn’t quite work in any cannon sense, but that’s not the point. I really struggle with characters, I can make them struggle, and that’s a big part, but that’s still a small piece of who they are as an individual. The Castle has helped me just get stuff down about who they are.
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.

Since I think both of y’all have watched at least some Marvel, I have a question. 😉
Sooo…since I’m writing from different characters POVs in this series, I still want them to have internal conflicts.
I think I’ve narrowed down Steve’s and Bucky’s, but I was wondering if y’all thought they fit for those characters. 😉😊
So, here they are:
Steve- He kind of has this internal conflict (especially in the 2nd and 3rd fanfics) with trying to be strong for the team, meaning that he hides his emotions and keeps his pain to himself. He also has a struggle with thinking/saying that he needs to be Captain America, the hero everyone needs, but not Steve Rogers, so, like, he’s trying to be a hero but not allowing himself to be a human man with emotions, pain, and trauma.
Bucky- Has an immense struggle with guilt, trusting people, and trying to come to terms with his trauma. He sees himself as a monster and nothing but one, and struggles to realize that what he did wasn’t his choice and that he never had the option to not do the things he did. He has a hard time realizing that he’s different now, and is always afraid of turning back into a “monster” and hurting the people he loves.
But yeah…any thoughts? 😅

I think these look great! The first thing I would say when it comes to this stuff is think about how consistent does this fit with the narrative of the cannon series, the issue with that however, is that the cannon isn’t even consistent with itself. That being said, I think you did well on this with both characters. Steve was always about responsibility. It is his eventual arch in endgame that he chooses himself over the world, but not in a selfish way. He has done everything for the world with unwavering commitment, and he finally chose rest. In your narrative, I just would try to make sure he doesn’t come to this conclusion in your story, unless it overlaps with endgame or something, because that’s where his arch is. For your series, he would show trouble with this subject, and should have an arch of some sort, but likely not in this regard unless your thinking of diverging from the cannon story. Actually, you could totally do this within the bounds of cannon because of the multiverse, so if you wanted, you could do whatever you wanted here, making something completely different.
As for Bucky, I don’t think I could add to what you’ve said. It fits his character perfectly, and it fits the narrative.

Yeah, I see what you mean! 😉 I’m still plotting it out, but it may overlap with Endgame, considering the third one takes place 1 year after the Snap, but I’m still plotting…and it’d kinda be interesting to keep Steve in, tbh…and give him a different arc…🤔🤔🤔
