March 20, 2025 at 4:04 pm #200473@freed_and_redeemed that’s awesome!
where and when exactly would this take place? (I know it’s a fantasy world, but the names of your characters are making me curious as to which cultures they’re based off.)
@ellette-giselle I’m pretty sure that’s not her actual attire, so it’s not too big of a deal for me. That image looks more of a faceclaim than a clothes-claim."When in doubt, eat cheese crackers."-me to my charries who don't even know about cheese crackers

Forgot to reply quickly 😅 Yes I would appreciate any research you already have! I’ve already got tons of reading to do for the main parts of my thesis, and psychology is part of it, so any help is welcomed – although I’m going to look for articles on my own anyway. I’m trying to find ways of cutting time because this is due next month.

If it’s PTSD in particular I don’t have much. I have research on gas trauma from WW1, but otherwise I haven’t got a ton. I do have heaps of info on things happening during the war. Here’s two I have bookmarked.

March 26, 2025 at 12:22 pm #200741I just need a moment to share my excitement
Just got most of these in the mail!! My thesis is due in a month and I’m trying to figure out the film+psychology angle before I start writing. I now own all of these books besides Hollywood: The Oral History. I have very little time to read, but I’m already through with two of them. Now I can recommend Understanding Movies and The Permissive Society. I am really, really excited to read Afterimage and Japanese Mythology in Film, because I already started the former and it’s passionately researched, and the latter is about a semiotic approach to film which is already something I’m interested in (because my dad heavily focuses on biblical symbolism in his studies).
Actually I’m excited for all of them. Period. But especially those two.
