Ah, okay. XD I asked because I am coldhearted while reading or writing. But I teared up yesterday, and that completely caught me off guard.

January 18, 2025 at 10:49 am #195092I showed that scene to one of my friends, and her exact words were:
“Livia and Marcurious have never been more annoying, and Aubrielle has never been more relatable”.
It was so funny lolll

January 18, 2025 at 10:51 am #195093Honestly, when I write scenes I feel nothing.
Which makes me feel really bad, especially when other people tell me when they write hard scenes they cry a lot, and I’ve never really cried like that. The only time I can remember tearing up is when Sef was getting abused by Iver in a scene I wrote like last year…and it still hurts my heart, but while I write things I feel…nothing.
Sometimes when I go back and read it after a while, it hits me, but never enough to make me cry. Idkkk I feel like a monster but that’s the honest truth XDXD

January 18, 2025 at 10:54 am #195095LOL! Who needs a braining brain when ya got a jumbled mess of chaos (If that makes any sense)? 😂 I know I have it.
EXACTLY
SOMEBODY GETS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL. I lost a funny meme but it was so relatable. It had to do with not having touched any WIP since the cold winter of 1878… I think that’s me rn😂
That was me this fall. Idk what it is but winter is like the only time I can really make progress. Not because I have more time…but because somehow the vibes are just right and the words flow…I’m weird but it’s true XDXD
Also sorry, I got your tag wrong earlier
hey that’s okay! It’s kind of a hard tag lolll
Oh that scene is wonderful😂😂
That scene makes me cackle like a wild hyena…

January 18, 2025 at 11:09 am #195100Y’all. This is sad.
I’ve put aside most of my fun reading during January to focus on things. And I just realized. One of my family checked out The Screwtape Letters in my favorite audio book version. (And it’s due in 16 minutes.)
*Marianne level sobbing*
Just kidding. XD
I’ll laugh when I write, and sometimes I’ll tear up. Usually it’s not with much evident emotion unless it’s been a long day or I’m really excited about something else. I think I’ve only really cried over my writing once… It was with Reúven, if I remember right, or Winifrith. Anyway, I’m more likely to laugh than cry when writing. When reading, I typically cry from relief, so not usually with my own writing. (But throw some Vandalian heir in true comradeship with Jupiter’s heir, and I might just scare my sister with my tears. KYLEN….)
You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan

January 19, 2025 at 2:15 pm #195348That feeling when you’re reading an Answers in Genesis book, and don’t get me wrong, they’re great, but sometimes that writing team NEEDS a couple more editors……
I go through a section and I’m like “Mr. author, you could’ve said that in ten words and it woulda been just as impactful, but you used two whole sentences, and because of that it kinda sounds like you’re going in circles.” or “I get this was written for kids, but it reads like you’re explaining an adult concept, and I’m not sure how many kids are gonna get it when you put it like that.”
Do you ever read a book and you’re like that? Like “This is a great book, but it would be improved if the editor was a bit better at their job.”

January 19, 2025 at 6:40 pm #195374Yall keep changing your names and I get confused thinking there’s new people online when there aren’t. My tiny brain can’t handle it. I don’t even know who I’m talking to anymore. XD
