Alright! Haven’t been writing a whole whole lot, but I just got some knew skin color markers… idk what I’m drawing lol. I’m kinda wanting to do something super colorful… like y’know make it look like under a pink light kinda effect?

          What about you? How’s life/writing?

Church was good!We haven’t been to this church for a long time, it’s a nice one. There’s a lot of elderly people there, so I get a lot of compliments of my hats? I mean I’ll take it πŸ˜‚

it was about how God allows evil to happen, and can bring good out of bad. How was your service?

Interesting, I’m not sure how sustainable that would be though in such a world. Who enforces such a economy, are these materials from a time past useful in some way unlike other things like food? Sorry if that sounds like criticism. It’s interesting, but I’m just trying to figure out how it would hold itself together.

Yeah. because each age is many century’s long, and have a variety of races cultures and materials, there would be many countless different kinds of currency’s to be found. That being said, I don’t have any flushed out economy. The Verna in Omialia I think would likely have an economy made from light stone (one of the core element stones in our multiverse). They have a monopoly on it, and because the Others in the Ring Union want it so bad, they become quite wealthy. It would likely operate in a similar fashion to their number system, which actually has a place value of the prime numbers.Β  The Lasi’el are probably the biggest trading nation, because they are in the middle of the Ring Union, connecting all the outskirts. They would ship knowledge and materials from other nations, in return for more knowledge and materials. The T’ashin would likely base their economy around slave trade, they don’t commune with the Union often, because the Union try’s to keep good ties to the Shal’le, T’ash’s preferred slave for their ability to multitask and are easily controllable when young. Those are a few thoughts I have on just Omialia.

@mineralizedwritings. Glad to hear you’re doing alright!!! Ooh, drawing is fun though!!! πŸ˜πŸ˜‰ Hmm…not sure what you can draw that’s super colorful…maybe a flower or something, IDK. πŸ˜†

Life’s going good!!! I’m feeling better these days. πŸ₯° I’m kinda only just now getting back into the swing of writing since being sick, lol, y’know? πŸ˜…πŸ˜†

Glad to hear it!!! Aww, that’s sweet of them to compliment your hats, tho!!! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

              Ooh, that’s a great sermon topic!!! 😁

Service was really good!!! Worship was AMAZING!!! (I was actually singing today on the worship team, which is always enjoyable. πŸ₯°)

And the sermon was great too!!! A bit on Loving Thy Neighbor and talking about how we all have a testimony, and that we need to write down all the things we’ve been through (our Testimony) because someone may just need our testimony one day. 😊

Yeah tbh I haven’t gotten super technical about it XD

I spend most of my energy on character arcs, but tbh I don’t get super technical with any of it. My first book (the one I have done the most work for) has more of a slice of life feel. Although it is dystopian, there isn’t much tension and the worst that happens is uncomfortable work in the mines or getting thrown out of the bunker. I wouldn’t say I world build ‘just for fun’ …. but I don’t take it quite as far as some people do. I have to consider too that there isn’t a whole lot of text in comics, so any world building I do should be able to be explained through dialogue. I use Johnathan for most of that, because he can explain things to other characters.

Your currency sounds interesting! I haven’t had the issue of multiple races because lol there are only humans in my main wip. I have a fantasy one on the side but I don’t work on it frequently

Sorry about your being sick! <3<3

I haven’t actually been sick since I started writing… lol so Ig I don’t know. Is it hard to write while you are sick? I’ll bet I could write a really good first person account of a charrie being sick while I am sick XD Maybe write a scene of how wolfgang feels and try to channel your actual sick feelings into the writing… does it work that way?XDXD

Oh that is good! For some reason I can remember my entire testimony without writing it down, I mean how could you forget?! Ig as you get older maybe?

We all forget things, don’t worry. πŸ˜‚ I don’t remember EVERYTHING I’ve been through either, but I remember some of the biggest struggles I’ve been through. 😊

Yeah, and there’s’ nothing wrong with that. That just means your more of a soft worldbuilder. I’m a hard worldbuilder, far more so than I think I’ll ever need or should be for writing a book, but both are very valid styles in creating a world. You just have different goals, and that’s good.

Β I have to consider too that there isn’t a whole lot of text in comics, so any world building I do should be able to be explained through dialogue

Well, that’s true, but when worldbuilding, you don’t need to show every little detail about your world in writing, even if your like me and you really really want to. You’ll bore your readers that way. But you can still work on some of those details that will have indirect influence in your story, even if they aren’t mentioned, you don’t have to do everything. I like how Brandon Sanderson does it, he uses the common metaphor of the iceberg. There’s the tip that you actually show, then there’s everything else you do that you don’t show in the writing, but Sanderson, he just does a little bit underneath, and makes it look really convincing that he’s done the whole thing with minor slight details and stuff. There’s also what is called silent worldbuilding, something you can do with a comic or other visual media. You have the dialogue for occasional expositional discussion for worldbuilding and stuff, but you can also show things in the background of the pictures, just allude to the other things of this world without pointing them out. They are just there, part of the world. So ultimately, there is more than one way to worldbuild depending on your style, your goal, and your media, and likely other factors I’m forgetting.

@thearcaneaxiom I like that!! Although since they’re four-dimensional, 3D us can’t see them and can only get grabbed by a bunch of random clawed cylinders…and maybe an eye or two….and a mouth that is definitely real…..lol

Right, and that is the idea. They are meant to be ineffable to an extent. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be seen, it only means you can’t see them all at once. They can pass through the 3d cross section, and you will essentially be seeing a 3d slice of them which I intend to describe in detail in one of my stories when one is trapped in a 4d cage. But I do want to make more 3d creatures as you would describe. The thing about fractals is that they are all over nature in both flora and fauna. There are a variety of reasons for this, but the main one is to expand surface area. So there’s likely to be many different fractalline creatures. But true fractals are of a different nature. My universe works with fundamental units, so a true fractal can’t exist for the same reason one can’t exist in our world. That being said, the 4d creatures are like this, because they work in a completely different way, taking advantage of a quirkΒ  of the fundumental unit. So if there’s more 3d true fractalline creatures, they would likely be physiologically different to anything else.

@thearcaneaxiom Yep, totally get it. We have lots of fractals in our world, but they have to stop at a certain point because they’re made of non-fractal atoms. But I mean, in a fantasy world like yours, you can really do anything, so…I’d say go for it!!

Yeah! As I said, there is a fundamental unit in my universe, but it still can work. The physical path through space I think is how I would do it. The particles themselves may be non fractalline, but they can be infinitely defined in how they move through space. Either way, I would ask the question, what advantage is there in this? Fractals have advantages, but do true fractals? The 4d creatures are like that because they can manipulate things with infinite precision. Would a 3d creature do the same?

@thearcaneaxiom Would it? I don’t know, this is just a very interesting conversation.

There’s a book I own, called Fractals: The Secret Code of Creation, by Christian astrophysicist Jason Lisle. He created his own plotting software for fractal graphing–and has a link to it in the book, so that’s pretty awesome.

That is pretty awesome. Fractals are a really beautiful piece of math that show the infinite beauty of our universe. They show the possibility of infinite creation, like the banak-tarski paradox, which isn’t really a fractal, but fractal graph theory is used to get to the conclusion, even though it’s ultimately more set theory related.
