Ok, so I was trying to go to your blog yesterday, but I couldn’t remember the right URL for the life of me. XD Would you mind sharing it with me?

-ThorneFebruary 19, 2024 at 2:38 pm #176255I’m thinking prob the easiest job for Leon to secure would be working at the bar….🫣😬
#BeardedSteveRogersIsSuperior
February 19, 2024 at 2:39 pm #176256I think I might do it, and then Leon would be home with the kids during the day (once he gets his own house and all) and things…mmmm🤔
Louisa would probably come and watch them at night.

I can’t help but note that most people with addictions only realize how much of an issue it is after they’ve lost or hurt the people they care about
you could get him a job and then he’ll buy a house and whatever but then you may have the conflict being his mother-in-law thinking he’s no longer capable of taking good care of his children cause of his constant drinking
like I don’t know if you’ve seen the music video to Matthew West’s song The God who stays, basically something like that
it’s really the first thought that comes to my mind and by no means do I think that Leon should turn into an abusive father or anything of that sort but instead Lousia is worried that he might become that
and as I’m reading his scenes I’m noticing that whenever he mentions God or talks to him, it almost seems like he’s trying to explain to God just how much his wife meant to him
I think it could do him a lot of good if someone told him that God already knows, that God knows his pain and understands it

-ThorneFebruary 19, 2024 at 3:01 pm #176259February 19, 2024 at 3:01 pm #176260It’s kinda interesting you say that because that’s kinda been the basic plan all along.
his alcoholism eventually leads to Louisa taking the kids and leaving him home alone bc it’s not Louisa’s house so he literally is all alone.
she does that after…something happens involving Leon and Riker…🫢 i can give spoilers if you want them but for now I shall say nothing XD
he most def does not become abusive, but something Elishavet pointed out once made me realize something I never really noticed before…there’s kinda a parallel in the 2nd book bc 2 alcoholics are shown repeatedly throughout the book. Leon, for one…
…and Franz as the other

Yes, he does do that a lot😅
yes, and I’m sure someone (prob Isaiah, maybe Louisa…but prob Isaiah) will voice something like that, but it’s also complicated bc Leon blames God for Aadelheide too…Leon is so complicated and just so broken rn and I love him soðŸ˜ðŸ’–

February 19, 2024 at 3:20 pm #176264Yeah I kind of figured that thought had already crossed your mind since it was kind of what this road always leads to
do I want spoilers… yes I basically spoil every show for myself, I get it from my Mom so why stop now lol
…and Franz as the other
So you could show some wonderfully sad parrel scenes where you show Franz doing something involving alcohol and then cut to Leon doing the same thing
basically scarring your readers that Leon will become Franz
Yes, he does do that a lot😅

Leon!!!! *sobs in the corner for a good hour*
okay seriously though, at least he knows God exists cause he could easily just call God fake, but he knows that God’s in control and that’s why he blames him

-ThorneFebruary 19, 2024 at 3:30 pm #176267Oh, yes, it def crossed my mind
I’m the same way, don’t worry, I understand😂 who cares about spoilers?? XD
ok, ok, so basically, Louisa finds Riker alone in the rain (not knowing/understanding that he wants to be alone bc he’s a “mistake” but mostly to get away from his father) and invites him to dinner. Wellll, she invites him to dinner at Leon’s house since that’s where she’s at watching the kids, but this is soon after she and Leon have a harsh argument and Leon isn’t going to work that night but he’s not at the house so she doesn’t think he’ll even know and she, tbh, doesn’t even care
well, Leon arrives back home sooner than Louisa expected, just after Louisa and Riker finish dinner. Welll, Leon is completely drunk and angry and ends up pinning Riker down against the counter and brings a knife to Riker’s neck (thank goodness none of the kids see this!!) and makes Riker promise to never show his face in his house or even around him ever again or he’ll kill him.
Riker flees the house and for Louisa, it’s the final straw and she ends up taking the kids from Leon “for their safety”
So you could show some wonderfully sad parrel scenes where you show Franz doing something involving alcohol and then cut to Leon doing the same thing

You’re a genius, Miley…a genius
I need to do that…I might actually do that in this chapter, although it’ll show Leon and then cut to Franz, but same diff XD
*sobs with you*
I knowwwww, it’s good that he doesn’t believe God is fake, but still!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

February 19, 2024 at 3:51 pm #176273My heart!!! I JUST FELT IT BE CRUSHED A LITTLE!!
RIKER DOES NOT NEED THAT FROM LEON, BUT THIS ALL COMES FROM THE DEEP LPVE LEON HAD FOR HIS WIFE AND OH MY WORD I HATE THIS AND LOVE IT AT THE SAME TIME
*flips my pony tail behind my neck* I know I am
XD
Ooh and it will also make people sympathetic for Franz showing what it takes for a person to become like that
*sobs some more* your book is killing me right now
Do me a favor…. Tell Cress I meant it
-ThorneFebruary 19, 2024 at 3:59 pm #176275AHHHH I KNOWWWWWW, THE POOR BABY BOIS!!!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ’–
Leon loved Aadelheide more than anything, and it’s just…ðŸ˜
😂😂
yesssss, especially when everyone *ahem* finds out what led to Franz becoming the way he is…which also includes the loss of a loved one, just like Leon 🫢
*sobs with you and gives you a huge hug* me toooo
