Thanks! I hope you get better also! I’m feeling better now, so I’ll be up and walking today.
Maybe just count the pages like Whalekeeper said. Do you write small, big or in the middle? Maybe then you can estimate how many words you’ve typed, like count one page and estimate the rest. Are you going to type it before you publish it or make corrections? That will tell you if you do it on Google. Thats so cool how your doing it by hand! Hope that helps! 🙂

@whalekeeper OOOH!!! I feel like I’ll love him! He sounds just like my kind of Charrie.So my Cecily is a jester: wears black and white, white hair in pigtails, basically white skin (not sure if it’s like face paint or actual skin tone) with black face paint and such, overall jester look.
She was one of Lyn’s best friends (along with Ridley) was overall a fairly happy girl, though mysterious and cryptic-she was a dreamer and while she can’t exactly “dream” the future like Ara, she has a sort of “Sixth Sense” and even some of the Cirquians found her a little off putting but overall we’re fine with her. She was often found with Lyn, until…
She wasn’t.
It was never explained what happened….but one day she just…grew distant.
Became more withdrawn and cryptic and lost her joyous, child-like view of things. She was a little similar to Lyn before things changed (though more down to earth)
She secluded herself into a caravan on the outskirts of Cirque, and has lived there ever since, rarely venturing into town to perform or do anything really.
She occasionally meets with Lander and sometimes Ridley visits…but otherwise…
Lyn used to try and visit but…Cecily pushed her away, refusing to give her the time of day. She became silent and shrouded in mystery and shadow, a silent type.
She’d always been a bit quiet, compared to Lyn especially, but when they were friends she was happy. Now she is cryptic, and some are even frightened of her (which is something coming from Cirquians.)
So yea, she’s a suspect.
It actually turns out in the end that Cecily (or CeCe, as Lyn calls her, despite her complaints) is Lyn’s cousin…
She was threatened by her own father, which is why she distanced herself from Lyn.
In discovering this truth, and after he threatens her, Cecily discovers more about Cirque then most anyone knows.
Zolten probably would’ve been better off leaving her be.

Not a whole lot up with me, I’m very tired and at home rn, just finished some writing. I’m working on a little thingy of having my characters describe themselves diary style, just to get to know them a little better. I’m also debating getting curtain bangs XD which might happen tomorrow when I get a hair cut.

Zolten never really loved his own wife, but she loved him. He always pined for her twin sister (who loved his brother.)
But he was always jealous of his brother (even as a boy) and it grew into hate, so his love being in love with his brother didn’t help matters.
But yea after her mother dies, he takes Lyn.
He does “love” her, but it’s in a very twisted way. He’s not exactly abusive but he is a gaslighter definitely (he is abusive to others around Lyn, but not to Lyn personally) very manipulative, etc.
In his own twisted way he “loves” her, but originally that love stemmed from the love of her mother. It does grow to be a bit like father and daughter, but it’s still very…
Yea just not super kosher. Because he uses control to keep her out of “love.”
Lyn doesn’t know this at all though, she’s just a sweet, innocent, carefree girl who thinks her uncle is all she’s got and is the best man in the world, and Cirque is the best place in the world.
And this is because he’s manipulated her into thinking and seeing like this.
Its sad, but yea.
