October 3, 2025 at 4:25 pm #207845I’d like to be twin Archivist with Loops, if she’d have me. *Bows on my face*
Right, how could I forget my wonderful Archival assistant?? I am ashamed.
(although I don’t particularly like the word Necromancer. Surely there are more interesting word choices…*brain immediately deletes dictionary*)
I couldn’t find a more positive synonym either:( Though bringing back old topics is kinda similar to an archivist’s job in a way. Preservation and restoration.
Guyss we should all have titles. It’s so much fun.

Why not give everyone titles? Although…we’d have to think of them first.
But we’re writers. That shouldn’t be a problem.

October 4, 2025 at 5:48 am #207859@koshka I used to call Freedom the Emoji Queen. Also, Linus should be the Architect. Those are the only ones that I can think of right now

I’m considering joining.

(PS. Pfp by SelkieSeal on Unvale. My dear Chase ❤️?)October 7, 2025 at 4:36 pm #207899Rio is the oldest of six Trahan siblings
Immediate sympathy from me. He seems cute and friendly 😛 Not to mention the outfit. Capes should be a modern staple.
He looked around for the moth guy. Maybe they could spar later. Or something.
Hmmmmm
*Links arms* I’m not sure what everyone else’s titles should be, but we should hold a council once we’ve brainstormed, and present everyone with their titles.
We revitalized this roleplay for fun. You can join! If you skip back to page 18, you can see where we started up again. It’s not a long read. Or just know that everyone’s signing in before finding their personal rooms. So far, the characters named are Moth, Lois, Dante, Snake, and Rio.

October 7, 2025 at 7:32 pm #207912I don’t know what y’all pictured for the rooms, but I’m going to be liberally imaginative with this.
Moth
Moth headed off to find his room.
The academy was so spacious that it was hard to focus on where he was going. Straight ahead after the entrance, the hall extended and then opened into a huge room with a grand staircase going up and to the sides. The North Residential Hall, though, should be straight ahead, so he soldiered on.
The sight was almost overwhelming if Moth was not already used to strange sights. Each prince looked foreign to the other. Many wore circlets, embroidered jackets, and good-looking if not impressive clothing. The boys walked together, or chatted next to each other on sofas and lounge chairs. A large group stood with their backs to the stair banisters, loudly shouting at each other.
When Moth passed other boys, they reacted. Some looked at each other or averted their eyes.
Were fairies that rare? Moth knew he was delicate in appearance and his body was a strange color to humans.
A large group of princes stood ahead, talking like everyone else. One of them, the closest to Moth, had brilliant blue clothing and a face that looked as if it had been colored from time spent in the outdoors. He had a nice smile.
“Hello.” Moth put out his hand. “I am the Moth Prince. Can we -”
The boy startled and backed away. Something about his raised eyebrows and parted lips was not uncomfortable, but rather, told Moth he should feel uncomfortable.
“Hm. Never… never mind.” Moth blinked and pushed himself away.
He found himself in a residential hall. Princes held doors open as they stepped out on their way to dinner. Inside were four-poster beds, desks, weapon displays, gold curtains, and the warm ambience he had seen from the windows – but no two rooms were alike.
The styles shifted, as if someone had taken tools to the walls and blended the colors and materials so they gradually changed from room to room. A room had marble pillars reaching the ceiling, while another boasted a friendly fireplace. One grew a door of living vines, and another had a mess of papers tacked on the wall. Even the sizes weren’t the same, although no one looked upset.
Moth studied each nameplate, and recognized two of them. Thorne. Maddox. Their doors were locked. No one knew what was inside.
Further on, the hall became quieter. The lights suddenly grew dim, then brightened. Moth’s antennae buzzed from the sudden blip in the atmosphere.
The door closest to him was locked. The paint was gray, and peeling, with bits of dilapidated wood underneath. Despite its age, the door wore ornate paneling and a keyhole. The nameplate, etched on the keyhole panel itself, read Moth – de sidus.
Moth turned the skeleton key in the lock. The door squealed open. Beyond it was a cramped staircase, twisting quickly into darkness.
He treaded lightly up, and as he reached the top, he sneezed. It was the emptiest, most abandoned room he had yet seen. There were four walls of orange and cream floral wallpaper, stained at the ceiling and floor. Dust blanketed the wood floor. The room curved at the top, creating a domed ceiling, and a circular skylight cast the room in bluish glow. A few boxes and a sleeping bag lay in the corner.
Moth stood there for a long time, looking over each and every detail. He took a slow walk around, and settled down on the floor. A puff of dust rose.
“The ears and helminths have blessed this place,” he breathed.
It was lovely. It was even better than he had expected, and for all its charm, it wasn’t even lived in yet.

October 11, 2025 at 5:44 pm #207935I can give you my story’s wikipedia answer or I can give you my story’s wikipedia answer. There’s no other way to explain. *Pulls out textbook* Ahem.
Helminth is the modern scientific term for a parasitic worm, coming from Greek for ‘intestinal worm.’ But in this story’s universe, while humans eventually narrowed the word down to the scientific meaning (forgetting shortly after the word was invented that fantasy creatures existed to begin with), the fairies kept the definition broader. To them, the word has always meant intestinal worms of any relationship with the host. That means not just parasitic. There are worms, aka tiny limbless and featureless dragon wyrms, who are symbiotic, and can give you eternal life if you let them live in your body.
I know it’s a cursed idea. This is the story where I put cursed ideas. XD
