Ah. But the idea of the Archivist slipping around in a long dark robe with a pocket full of colorful potions and smelling salts is spectacular…although maybe it should be a swirly neon dress and twinkle-toe shoes. That should wake some things up.
If not the Archivist, I do believe Whaley could carry said title.
(although I don’t particularly like the word Necromancer. Surely there are more interesting word choices…*brain immediately deletes dictionary*)

Meet Rio Trahan—the prince of Eblar.
The R in his first name is rolled. I’m going to post a picture of him, but I’ll describe em anyway… the site may not be kind to me, heh. Rio has loose curly brown hair, round grey eyes, a thin aquiline nose, and slightly medium/full-ish lips. Thick brows. He’s not the darkest but not the palest… I guess medium brown skinned… and he stands about 5’6 or 5’7. Boy is 15. His outfit is like a Spanish renaissance outfit with Brazilian Carnival-ish influences—like feathery epaulettes. Elbar, his home country, is like a mix of Brazil and Spain… so yeah… that’s that.
When he’s pronouncing names that have more than one R sound in them, he will roll the first R, but any others will be normal. Also, sometimes he won’t pronounce S sounds that end names (or words). Not always, so that can be ignored if you want, but the R is major. I don’t wanna change the texts too much but I might occasionally add a second R for the rolled ones. Heehee. Sorry to be technical.
Rio is flamboyant. Dramatic. He seems like the dumb kind who would waste away their time partying, but—even if it doesn’t seem like it—he actually has a deep love for knowledge/learning. He loves to read, he loves life sciences… and he loves philosophy. Likes music and swimming too.
Rio is the oldest of six Trahan siblings, and the heir to the throne. He’s got no drama—just a jolly kid who wants/likes to learn stuff. His father was pleased to hear his son desires to go to this interesting academy for princes, so there was no reason not to let him go.
It’s a tradition for Hebnic princes to rule certain provinces while still under the king, so by law Rio is actually already ruling one… but someone may be minding it for him while he attends this school.

That’s what he looks like… yeah. It’s unshaded and he has no feet because I’m lazy, feeling a little exhausted, and just couldn’t care less. I also couldn’t figure out his feather epaulettes… so just ignore them. Just a general idea, nothing fancy. His shoes would prolly be some kind of boot. I’m not sure.
Okay, that’s all I have for now. I’ll write his actual rp/pov/thing when I get a moment.

He took his place in the line to sign in. He wasn’t the biggest student, exactly, but he towered over several of the boys in front of him.
The man signing them in twitched as the young dragon reached him. Still startled from the moth-y kid that tried to challenge him, maybe?
“What’d they sign me up as? David? Or Snake?” he asked, trying to keep his gravelly voice low, so as not to freak out anyone more than they already were. He could save that for some other day, not the first one. “Not that it really matters.”
He looked around for the moth guy. Maybe they could spar later. Or something.
That was one good thing about being here–new tactics and strategies.
he’s not even thinking about what they could teach him about his magic yet, lol

Rio
“Is there a problem out there?” Rio muttered as the carriage slowed. He lifted the curtain that guarded the carriage window just enough to peer out, blinking a couple of times as the sunlight attempted to blind him. They seemed to have come to a fork in the road—one path lead towards the academy, and the other towards some city or village in the distance, according to the sign to between the two paths.
The carriage eased forward, continuing on its way.
Rio pushed the curtain out of the way completely and continued staring outside. The scenery outside had changed from the fimiliar gardens and cobblestone roads of Eblar to a dense forests and lush countryside.
He could feel the sun shining through his window, the light warm on his cold skin. He’d missed that warmth. The past few days had been chilly… and restless. He couldn’t remember if he’d gotten any sleep recently… but that wasn’t exactly usual for him. He often fell asleep without trying and woke up without a memory of drifting away.
He could nearly feel his bed back at home… warm and soft.
The carriage ride had been as smooth as it ever could’ve been—his father had purchased the nicest ride he could for his son—so his sleeplessness wasn’t because of the ride. It was anticipaition… excitment. There was a thrill in meeting new people, it often sent a shiver up his spine and kept him on the edge of his seat.
After a while, the carriage slowed again.
Rio peered down his nose as they came to a stop in front of the Academy…
…or castle…
Rio closed his window.
Silence filled the cabin.
He could hear his heart beating quicker, his mood lighthearted and jumpy—like a dog who is brought out of its kennel when guests or family are over. He steepled his fingers, though they shook too hard to be kept together. A beam of sunlight filled the cabin a his chauffeur opened the carriage door. Rio blinked a couple times. He stepped out and flipped his shoulder cape.
Students bustled all around, most going into the academy… and many with bags full of ego. Servants hustled here and there.
The chauffeur lifted a couple small bags out of the back of the carriage and handed them to one of the servants who’d come with Rio. Bags that held Rio’s dearest items, which he did not want shipped ahead with the rest of his things. The servant followed Rio into the castle academy.
Rio beamed. He turned to his servant, “Where do I go?”
“You should check in sir.” The servant gestured to the check in stand.
Rio glanced, flipped his cape and got in line.
