I’m finally in! I’m sorry for doing nothing in the past few hours but I couldn’t access anything properly.
I wrote something to set the scene, by the way. ? I looked over the past roleplaying and a lot of the setting was made up on the spot, but I grabbed some of the details and shoved em together. Should I post that now?

although, I have the urge to dump Sniper in here too because it’d be funny to make him a royal, especially because he’s technically the last of his planet.
no, I am not sticking my comfort character in everything just because, what gave you THAT idea? lolbut for now we just have Snake. His backstory really hasn’t changed from where it is on page 8, but I’ll detail it a little more:
He’s the last heir to the Icewraith throne.
Abandoned by his father–who was killed in a civil war not long afterward–he learned quickly to fend for himself. He made a few bad choices, and it caught up to him. Eventually he just wanted to be left alone.
It didn’t help that he was born with magic, which would slowly corrupt him further if he used it unwisely.
He had a given name–David–but the dragons who knew him quickly branded him with another one….Suneku, or “Snake,” for his slyness.
Over time, however, he slowly becomes wiser, less selfish, but not without a war with a rival tribe that shows him just exactly what he needs to be a leader.
He still doesn’t really wanna be here. He still hates killing for the sake of killing, but he was basically bred for fighting, so that’s where he’d rather be.
also I was looking over old rps while searching for it and your dog-people characters are completely awesome, Whaley. Do you still have them in your stories?

Oh yeah. Thanks! They’re still there. Not a main feature of the story but one of them is a supportive character.

~.~.~ Royal Academy RP: New Intro ~.~.~
With the many glowing windows of a bustling manor, and the softly veined pillars and floors of a palace, the Royal Boys Academy seems to want nothing. Its double doors are carved with fantastic creatures, sometimes touched by the vines that grow from either side of the great entrance. As carriages arrive with new royals, the wind catches the forest encircling the school grounds, and the branches claw against the bronze spires.
The Royal Boys Academy has been a study haven for young royals since its establishment, two hundred years ago. The castle holds secrets about the students themselves, and many young princes discover keys to their individual stories, hidden in the secret passageways of the castle.
Headmaster Howell is a shapeshifter, a king who can disguise himself amongst the princes and give them wise counsel. He can even transform to look like your friend. The only way to identify him is to look for a ring on his hand – a ring with a multicolored, deep-set jewel. Beware the headmaster if you choose mischief. He’s everywhere…
Young royals arrive all the time. They have to be registered. After that, the boy takes on the title of “Prince” regardless of actual status, and they are presented with their personal living quarters. The residential area sprawls over the castle grounds, with roofed halls connecting them all and gold-adorned name plates on the doors. A boy’s room is personalized before their arrival. (I imagine there is an element of magic to make the rooms feel bigger or something.)
The academy is a home away from home. The princes don’t necessarily go to class together. Instead, each prince learns at his own pace, and studies what is important for his station in life. It’s a very comfortable place. For example, if a prince needs to know more about his country’s culture and systems, he might ask for a tutor or simply pick up books at the library and do the work for himself. (There are classes and clubs for some things, though.) Many boys learn fencing, combat, magic, or personal interests. There are no tests. The boys are simply encouraged to grow, and if they choose to lounge around, no one stops them.
Some of these countries are on the brink of war or reimagining. This is where princes will decide what kind of king they will be.

I’m personally amused and embarrassed by my old RPs. They’re so explosive and all over the place! ? And they’re not even that old. But maybe that’s a sign I’ve gotten better at writing since I joined.

I’ve been reading the rp since you guys brought it back to the top of the page and it’s so weird seeing my old writing, I haven’t thought about Kaine in a long time lol. I just saw a page where Loopy described a servant as having ‘mouse like features’ and I took it to mean a literal mouse girl ? that gave me a good laugh

Jake looks mysterious… y’know how some animes have that one guy who’s eyes are covered by his hair so you can never tell what he’s thinking? Reminds me of that. Is he going to have a moment where his hair splits and we see his eyes for the first time while he’s saying a epic line? That trope makes me cringe a little but I still love it.
The X for ears reminds me of some fandom artstyle but I can’t place which, do they do that in DMSP fanart a lot? It looks cute.
