His is eternal (:Continuing the discussion of the second SA sequence that we started in the other forum, I’m terrified that KoWT won’t give us a resolved story and that we’ll have to wait for years. He’s going to write Mistborn era 3 first, and probably several novellas. Stormlight probably won’t be finished for fifteen years or so! I desperately hope that the first sequence is a complete story in itself and not some sort of cliffhanger that won’t be continued for years.

📚 Appreciator of BooksA fair concern. Despite his reputation, Sanderson has left his readers on edge for extended periods of time with little word, take The Rithmatist for example. That being said, that was more of a side project that he’s simply been putting off, whereas Stormlight is one of his biggest series, and he’s far more invested. Knowing him, I would assume that he would make it rounded off storywise, but he would leave all sorts of questions unanswered. Though at the same time, he could be too excited to mess with our emotions that he jumps at the chance to make a major series scale cliff hanger.
