Hey guys, I need some ideas for a signet ring. I can’t use a dragon’s eye or spikes of ice, since those are insignias for later villains in my books. Any useful ideas? This is for the villain who I was talking about in the Villain Reveal topic.

Signets are chosen for their personal significance. It should be something relevant to the character. What one thing really means a lot to him? Perhaps it has some hidden symbolism.

1. A character from his alphabet. (or if you invented a language for the orcs or whatever they are, it could be a symbol from that standing for something related to the villain)
2. snake or some other dangerous thing (like teeth)
3. jewel of some sort (preferably red or black–those always seem to be villainy colors) 😀
4. a weapon (blade, spear-head)
5. Some sort of weather thing (lightning bolt, storm, wind, fire)Well, that’s all that I can come with for now. Dragon’s have a lot of time to brainstorm, considering they live to be thousands of years old. 😀
Good luck!☀ ☀ ☀ ENFP ☀ ☀ ☀

I think what I am going to use is a broadsword flanked by dragon wings on either side.
However, my character has his eyes set on the throne, so he might have a crown or something similar on his signet ring…
I’ll have to add that in.Since signet rings are used commonly in medieval and fantasy books, I invite the other users to keep adding ideas, in case there are other members out there who are asking the same question.

I think I should be worried now for Dragons and my kind. First, it was a dragon eye, and now its dragon wings… what. have. you. done?
