Hmm, it looks like it got rid of the formatting. I did have spaces between the verses…

Why, thank you.
Ooooo, the ocean. I like the ocean. (Just don’t think about what could be lurking under the waves. . . 😳🦈🐉🦑)
Poem number 4 (Is that a gentle way of ending this little game, or a challenge 😎 ????)
Stalling
I have stuff to do
dire and dear things
Important and near things
I must go!
but,
I don’t want to
Why is it,
that a task of most import
doesn’t always impel us
out of our comfort?
Time passes, and goes on
and on
and on
and then
It turns out I’ve run too late
to proceed
or begin
And I moan
and cry
“Why did I do that
It was so dumb
I knew better!”
But I just don’t learn
So if you’re reading this
please hear my desperate plea
Do what you need to
When you need to
and don’t put off like me
You will love what you spend time with.

You will love what you spend time with.
May 1, 2022 at 2:35 pm #110093Of course 😜
Haha. Love it!
Thanks for the poetry swap it’s been fun! Wait I’m supposed to send one more then we’re even.
Hmmm let’s see…
Dancing Lights
The great Northern Lights
Are soaring in the heights.
Like many dancing
Their hues are flashing.
Sweeping, swirling, running,
Changing with each second passing.
With each second they’ve shifted
Look away for just a second, they’re missed.
The pictures painted with light
Ever dancing at night.
At night in the North
They suddenly burst forth.
What can parallel their great dance?
It’s more beautiful than romance.
It is our Father’s delight
To give His children wonder in the night.
We can look in great awe at the light
And thank God for the night.
Though the night is sometimes scary
And of it we are weary
It is the only time we see the display
Of stars and lights and moon at play.
The night is spectacular
If only we lift our eyes from the ground to the air.
Again thank you! That was fun. Have a great day!

May 3, 2022 at 10:21 am #110233@power Whoa, that poem was AMAZING and really touching!! I loved it! THANK YOU for sharing it with us!! It reminded me of the lyrics from TobyMac’s song Scars. “It doesn’t matter who you are, this world goin’ leave some battle scars.”
God gives His hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.
