October 4, 2017 at 10:34 am #46813@ingridrd, I have A LOT of WIPs… So many that I haven’t been able to work on them a lot. Since I do a continuous story for my friends on Aetherlight. It’s called Aetherlight: Origins.
I have other ones that are not really Christian themed.
But I recently had the idea to work on a story about John Huss and other martyrs.
I’ve always been interested in how things happened or how the may have happened. So I was thinking about making a story of John Huss’s struggles and such. Maybe other guys like William Tyndale.Life's a cruel joke, so you have to laugh at it sometimes.
October 4, 2017 at 10:40 am #46814@xonos-darkgrate Did I hear Maze Runner??
I just finished reading TMR last week and I’m in the middle of Scorch Trials.
Who’s your favorite character? Mine’s Newt.
Have you seen the movies? I’ve seen the first movie, and I’m gonna watch Scorch Trials once I finish the book.INFJ ~ 4w5
aldarley.wordpress.comOctober 4, 2017 at 10:42 am #46816@epicaddie2 I’m glad I saw this. Do yourself a favor and don’t watch Scorch Trials. The movie is nothing like the book. And the cursing in it was pretty awful. *gets on her knees* Save yourself the pain…

October 4, 2017 at 10:47 am #46817@that_writer_girl_99 Yeah, I figured since the first movie was nothing like the first book, Scorch Trials would be too.
Unfortunately, my friend who got me into the series is probably going to force me to watch it with her. She’s really really really enthusiastic about the movies. I actually think she likes the movies better than the books… *shivers*
Actually, I kinda want to watch it just to see the difference. Although it’d be nice if there wasn’t swearing.- This reply was modified 7 years, 1 month ago by EpicAddie2.

aldarley.wordpress.comOctober 4, 2017 at 10:59 am #46819Yeah, so I read ALL the TMR books. Including the prequel. (shakes head) the movies are nothing like the books. And while I was okay with the first movie, because it was still cool even if it was different, the second was just… yeah. It was way off and turned out to be terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you’re planning on seeing the third TMR movie next year, you might have to so you’ll understand.
Also, I don’t want to give you any spoilers, but *cough* *cough*… my favorite character is Newt as well, but… but… nvm. Just finish the series and get mad at the author later… O_O
On a side note:
Since I don’t copy them anyways, I’m okay with people cursing in movies unless it’s overly frequent and truly vulgar. Which is why I don’t rewatch movies like Scorch Trials.Life's a cruel joke, so you have to laugh at it sometimes.
October 4, 2017 at 11:06 am #46822@xonos-darkgrate I already know what happens to Newt in the third book. *eternal sadness and tears* I also know how it happens.
My friend is really bad at keeping secrets. I pretty much know everything that happens because she keeps spoiling it 😁 I also know about Winston and Teresa. Teresa annoys me, though, so I actually don’t mind.INFJ ~ 4w5
aldarley.wordpress.comOctober 4, 2017 at 11:16 am #46827In that case, yeah… reminds me of that shirt on sale here…
Anyways, Teresa is just… I don’t really like her character.
And personally, it’s really anyone to me in books when the main character has TWO love interests and can’t decide and there’s A LOT of unnecessary drama… and movies…Twilight,
Hunger Games,
The Maze Runner,
and I could really go ON AND ON…But I DO appreciate, however, all those twists the author put into TMR. Those were pretty fun.. and sad… so enjoyable? I don’t know, is it bad that I’m happy certain characters died?

October 4, 2017 at 11:21 am #46829Oh dear. Twilight. *snorts* Rest in peace, you woefully neglected characters, full of life and wonderful potential…
I actually didn’t think the Hunger Games books were too terrible. They were each fun and exciting reads, just…stereotypically easy plot wise.
@xonos-darkgrate Ahem. I just realized I haven’t actually said hello, yet…hi, and welcome to KP! October 4, 2017 at 11:23 am #46832@xonos-darkgrate Well… it may be a bit concerning that certain characters died, but it’s understandable for some.
I’m actually kind of glad that Chuck died. It’s better because he doesn’t have to go through all the other trials. You know what I mean?INFJ ~ 4w5
aldarley.wordpress.comOctober 4, 2017 at 11:24 am #46833I was a huge fan of TMR until I saw the movies. After that…well, I was scarred. But it was good while it lasted?

October 4, 2017 at 11:36 am #46837Yeah… it was weird how they changed something about Chuck in the movies that wasn’t in the book. (I’ll let you find out for yourself), but it just made his death a lot more sad to me…
Also, I never watched Twilight, but I heard that it’s pretty terrible at times and also I’m not interested in that type of stuff so… I’m never watching it. Or reading it for that matter.
@epicaddie2I actually liked Hunger Games too! Not the whole Katniss, Peeta, Gale thing… but overall I like the movies AND the books. Not much was changed and the story was (admittedly a bit obvious) but fresh in the sense that I’ve never seen it done that way before. The only thing is that somebody thought it’d be a good idea splitting Mockingjay into TWO parts… they made me wait so long!
Anyways, I was actually fine with everyone dying until… *cough* Finnick… HE HAD A UNBORN SON… WHY?!
So yeah, I reread Mockingjay from time to time as MY tribute to fallen.. well.. tributes.
Also, I would have preferred it if Gale died. The fact that he’s alive and out there somewhere is disconcerting to me for some reason.

October 4, 2017 at 11:39 am #46838@that_writer_girl_99 Yeah. The books are definitely way better. And in the TMR movie (this is one of the things about the movies that bothers me most) Newt doesn’t call Thomas “Tommy,” or say “bloody.” I really wish they’d done that.

aldarley.wordpress.comOctober 4, 2017 at 11:42 am #46839@xonos-darkgrate I’ve actually never read or seen Hunger Games. I really want to though. I haven’t read or seen Twilight either.

aldarley.wordpress.comOctober 4, 2017 at 11:42 am #46840I read all of the Twilight books. Only the second and fourth ones were really worth reading, though, and even they made me cringe. That being said, I have no interest in seeing the movies. I’d rather spend my time writing. *grins*
Yeah! The Hunger Games were actually pretty good. I think Catching Fire was my favorite book overall, just because it was so…unpredictable, in a way. I didn’t know where the plot was going to go.
I agree with there being a lot of loose-ended details in the series, though. The epilogue of Mockingjay confused me, but that might just be me…
Do you like Harry Potter? If so…do you know which house you’re in? @xonos-darkgrate
