I’m not by any means a techi person. But I would love to take my music and either be able to record and mix it on my computer or be able to create my music on my computer without having to first record it. Any programs or sites someone could suggest?

Have you ever tried using GarageBand? That’s what my brothers and I used to put together the music for our opera. There’s an option on there called musical typing, where you can ‘play’ music on the computer keyboard instead of recording it. You can also record music, and layer tracks of different instruments. Is that what you are looking for?

I use Cubase, although it’s not free. There are bunch of things out there, but if you’re looking for free, then it sounds like Sarah knows what she is talking about.
