@hybridlore I do, in fact!!! (but keep in mind that some of these do have some very adult topics…I don’t read middle grade much, lol…but the authors handle things well)

Jayna Baas- Currently only has 1 novel, but her novel is completely clean (i mean, there’s a bit of kissing between man and wife, but…that doesn’t bother me at all, lol XD). About the American Revolution

Lynn Austin- I enjoyed her Refiner’s Fire Civil War trilogy…but not her WWII books, lol, it’s one of my least favorite books ever. XXD Has books about various time periods. Books deal with a couple of more tough topics, adult topics, mind you.

Sarah Sundin- Actually Historical Romance…XXD WWII books. Deal with MANY heavy, adult topics…so…may not be for you, idk, just look up reviews online or something 😊

Roseanna M. White- Again, Historical romance, lol. I’ve had hers recommended many times…but haven’t really tried them much, lol. May deal with adult topics…not really sure, lol

        that…may be it, lol

I know plenty of Historical Fiction books that are clean tho, even if their authors aren’t necessarily Christian 😉

Gotcha, yeah, thanks!! I’ll have to check some out!! I’ve heard of Roseanna m white, but not the others. Oh, ok!! Tysm!! I’ll definitely come to you if I need more 😂☺️

Oh yeah, kissing’s fine, just not anything … more than that… if you know what I mean 😶

Thanks again!! I’ll have to look at them 😉🙂

Hey y’all!! Found this awesome topic and immediately had to share some books…

First off y’all, I’ve been reading LOTR and I am also in love… it’s amazing. 🤩

I’ll be honest I haven’t exactly read anything new lately (haven’t had a whole lot of time) but I’ve been rereading everything I can get my hands on.

                        N. D. Wilson’s Ashtown Burials and Outlaws of Time get better EVERY. TIME. Seriously. I like his series 100 Cupboards as well but it’s just not as good as the other two in the long run.

I just reread Dragons in our Midst as well (Bryan Davis), and if anyone has read it, Ashley and Walter are the best characters and there’s no changing my mind.

Also, I just realized I DID read something new recently- Kingdom’s Dawn by Chuck Black, the first book in the Kingdom series. It was awesome!! I’m gonna read the second one but it’s taking a while to come to my library, so yeah lol.

I’m writing sci-fi and fantasy and while I’ve read quite a bit of fantasy, I’m fairly sure the literal only sci-fi book I’ve read is The Search for the Astral Dragon by Bryan Davis, so idk maybe I should read more sci-fi?? Cause I don’t know if my writing is suffering from not reading it lol

Follow your heart, but take your brain with you.

Hey y’all!! Found this awesome topic and immediately had to share some books…

                          I know right?? xD

I keep hearing good things about N. D. Wilson, so I’ll have to check out his books!!!

I’ve read the first two dragons in our midst books!! Oh cool, I think I’ve tried that one too lol but maybe I’ll have to look into it again – wait, maybe it was another book by chuck black.

I’m fairly sure the literal only sci-fi book I’ve read is The Search for the Astral Dragon by Bryan Davis, so idk maybe I should read more sci-fi??

Wait a sec –really??? You totally should!! I’ll try to think of some recommendations

Umm, so I just read Out of the Silent Planet, by C. S. Lewis, and that was really good!! You should definitely try it! I’m waiting on the second book lol. Yeah, my library is kinda slow sometimes too.

                          @everyone

I just read this book called The Lost Girl of Astor Street by Stephanie Morrill, there’s actually a review on KP for it lol. It was really good!! Has anyone heard of it??

YES, N. D. Wilson is by far one of my favorite authors!! He and Bryan Davis are probably at the top.

Oooh girl you have to read books three and four of Dragons in our Midst. It gets SO. GOOD. I can’t even describe it, the character arcs are just *chef’s kiss* I’d love to build amazing characters like that someday.

And ooh I’ll definitely have to try that!!

First off y’all, I’ve been reading LOTR and I am also in love… it’s amazing. 🤩

I seriously need to go back and try reading those again. A while back I tried to read it but could barely get through the first book. I found is so BORING!! But after watching the movies and hearing y’all and my brother talk about it, I think I’m going to read it again soon. 😉

                                  N. D. Wilson’s Ashtown Burials and Outlaws of Time get better EVERY. TIME. Seriously. I like his series 100 Cupboards as well but it’s just not as good as the other two in the long run.

I’ve heard of those!! They sound really interesting!

I just reread Dragons in our Midst as well (Bryan Davis), and if anyone has read it, Ashley and Walter are the best characters and there’s no changing my mind.

Hm… the author sounds vaguely familiar to me… maybe you’ve mentioned him before?

Also, I just realized I DID read something new recently- Kingdom’s Dawn by Chuck Black, the first book in the Kingdom series. It was awesome!! I’m gonna read the second one but it’s taking a while to come to my library, so yeah lol.

Haha, I totally understand that. I’m writing dystopian and I haven’t read one dystopian book. XD XD I really need to do that.
